Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks, Ms. Barnes!

To: MBarnes, re 16-2N-5W If this well will produce mostly gas, why are they drilling with gas prices below $3? Thanks, John

Has anyone heard anything about S 17-2S-4W?

Gay, it looks like this:

OCC%206-1015.png

Gay, if you are on a Mac, you may have to call the OCC for help in getting set up. It does not like Macs. One person there knew how to do it a few years ago.

Gay, just give me the legal, no problem.

Thank you, Linda. I sincerely hope your husband will have his health as restored as mine did. I’ve had 5 eye surgeries, and I know how scary that can be. I am on a 4 month visit schedule now, as my optic nerves are dying. So far, so good in this last year. I see you a a very caring lady here, helping so many of us newbies, so You will be a wonderful help to your hubby in his new role, I know.

A question…what is WTI?

Barbara…of course it’s anyone’s guess but they are saying condensate mostly in the center of the SCOOP with oil further to the east side and gas further west so I’d say more leaning toward the wet gas with some oil. It’s all good and like you said the biggest blessing is the health and well being of your loved ones. My hubby had another surgery today to correct the eyelid after the basil cell taken out from under his eye so he’s been in some pain today and tomorrow will get his regular shot in the eyeball of his other eye so that’s the kind of blessing we’re praying for too. He and three more men will be ordained as deacon’s of our church this weekend which makes me so proud and thankful for what the Lord has done in his life. I don’t know whether I can live up to what a deacon’s wife is supposed to be but I’m going to try my best. Just so thankful for the life I’ve been given. Also, thankful for the price of oil going up today. It was $61.10 for WTI when I checked a minute ago.

Rick…didn’t know you had had that many cancellations but maybe the 7th time is the charm. In the bible 7 IS the perfect number and means ā€œCOMPLETEā€ you know.

Newfield said that the division orders for the new Mashburn wells will be out in July.

Regarding Poteet wells, does anyone know when Div Orders will be issued? It’s been several months ago they were completed…

Further development of Baxendale Woodford Unit (Sec. 1 & 12-2N-4W) has begun. Baxendale 2H-1X spud June 8. Baxendale 3H-1X permit to drill approved May 29.

Jen, it is an application to increase the allowable production from the new wells from the allowable set for the existing well in that section. An identical application was also submitted for section 20 since both sections are effected. It says something like " to protect the coorelative rights of the owners in the section" so I guess it is to our benefit but probably more of a bureaucratic action to keep CR out of trouble if they do exceed the established allowable. This is strictly my take but could be more to it, so if anyone else cares to chime in feel free.

Diane, they have 6 months before mandatory interest kicks in, so if you don’t get DOs in the next week or so they will have to pay 12% or 6% if there are any title issues.

Is there leasing or drilling activity in 2N-7W? Marathon Fincher well of about a year ago reported 1,200 bopd well I think near Sec 14. Does anyone know general leasing terms there?

Hutch, thanks for the info on the division order and first payment.I think I understand that it is possible to receive the division order and first check simultaneously …right?

Michael; sorry thanks I appreciate the info

Hutch, thanks! I keep checking the mail in anticipation…!

Here’s a question for someone…Oceana 8 and 17. 1N 5W began production Dec. 22. No check has been received yet but even more perplexing is that no final division orders have come in. Is it common for a final division order to take such a long time to arrive?

DB, when someone answers your question it is always nice if you acknowledge it.

Miss Linda -

I live in GA and that is a normal greeting here. Have you received your first DO or Check? or am I just hoping too much…As you may know - it isn’t easy being on tenterhooks as they are sharp and most uncomfortably.
