Jerry Hire and soonerpe - Royalty Checks from Chevron are the largest checks we get in my family. Our lawyer says that Stephens and Johnson must make our royalty payments even if we do not turn in the Division Orders they sent out.

I noticed that the legal descriptions were changed on almost every line of the Well Transfer request which is 17 pages long. I see no practical way to verify the legals or the decimal interest.

I am really happy to have a new operator as I do not trust Chevron.

Sorry for the sentence fragments and misspellings in my post… back to my old tricks of typos and not proofreading. Maybe you can make out what I said anyway.

John, I will try to call you on Friday morning. I found my wells in the document from the link below, but I did not get any division orders as of yet.

Hope today finds all you Houstonites and other Texans high and dry as it sounds like the hurricane might be turning toward the west side of Houston! Get your floaties on and stay safe!!!

Lots and lots of oil field trucks around Lindsay, Oklahoma again! Not booming as much as when the oil price was high but plenty busy for us small town folks. There was a bad accident on Highway 76 nearly down to Highway 29 a few mornings ago. My husband came upon it as they had one man (heard he was not from Oklahoma but from Pennsylvania) lying out on the ground covered up and he did not make it. Prayers with his family! Seems he had not stopped when a large oil field truck was stopped in front of him. His pickup was mashed like a pancake from front to back and it had been a large pickup. Later heard he was oil service company he worked for but have since forgotten. Hate to hear about things like this!

A friend said they were starting the fracing on one of their new wells which I believe is somewhere around Section 10 3N 4W just south of us a few miles. I could sure be wrong about the section number but I know that is one of his sections where they were drilling.

My siblings and I received division orders from Stephens & Johnson for the two sections in Stephens County where we have mineral interests that we were previously receiving checks from Chevron.

Just checked on my cousin from Houston that works for an oil company and she is up here in Oklahoma. Said they closed down their company last Thursday until at least Tuesday (today) and they would go from there.

Agree with Linda’s wish to help Hurricane Harvey’s victims in some way and to be cautious to avoid scammers. I choose to give through the American Red Cross. Currently, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is doing a $1 million contribution match through the Red Cross—https://www.redcross.org/donate/cm/thekraftgroup-pub—this is a chance to double the impact of your gift. There may be other such gift matching opportunities in your area. Share our good fortune with those impacted by Harvey.

Called M. Barnes and she has been on a mission trip to Uganda during all the rain but said her home was high and dry, so that’s a praise. I don’t have Hutch’s number nor any of the other members that live down that way, so if anyone hears from them please let them know we’re concerned and praying for them.

Has anyone else besides John Mosier received division orders from Stephens & Johnson pertaining to Chevron selling their assets in Stephens County?

K Dawn – My direct deposit has been coming in on the 28th of each month for a long time. The direct deposit from Stephens and Johnson Operating Company has been showing pending in my bank account. The amount is a little better than what I have been getting from Chevron.

I’m thinking those people may not have internet service even if they are not flooded out. I have M. Barnes’ phone number. If I don’t hear about her on the forum soon, I was thinking about calling to see how she is.

Was wondering if since the oil companies from which we receive our checks are in Houston whether those checks will come this month or months to come. But my main concern is for the people that live down there! I haven’t heard from anyone down in that area including my cousin and several on this forum that are newfound friends. Wish we could help in some way. Plan to donate to the Red Cross and the Southern Baptist Relief teams and, of course, pray for their safety and comfort. News is warning about believing some of the doctored-up pictures on the internet from people scamming people. They have also caught some imposters acting as rescue people in order to steal. Can’t imagine what kind of low life would do that!

Hi Jen and Linda, thanks for thinking about me. We are still alive and well. My CR direct deposit came in overnight. The flood water has come up 10 or so feet from the front door but so far we have dodged the bullet. The water level went down overnight but more heavy rain today. We are very fortunate; the situation in Houston is heartbreaking.

So glad Hutch to hear that y’all are doing okay! Yes, it is very heartbreaking for sure and affects so many people!

The storm itself has passed but the evacuations have not. The worst is over but I cannot tell you how many thousands of people left their house with a sack and if they were lucky their dog or cat. The pictures are real. Houston is approximately 100 miles by 100 miles depending on how you look at it. There are approximately 6 million people. What made this storm different than most is there was not an area of Houston that was not affected in some way. This morning people were leaving their houses that they had lived in for 35 years and had never had a problem. I think the Red Cross is a very safe way to make donations and any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Martha is back in Houston now. We are fine, but housing some folks whose home was flooded -for the third time in about two years! Red Cross is a good group to go with. Prayers help as well. There are amazing folks doing amazing things. Be watchful of the scams as well. Sad about those.

We live in Smithville, Texas, a small town about 50 miles SE of Austin. There were many homes severely flooded here. I can’t say enough about the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief group. Just as soon as the water started to recede, a convoy of vehicles from this group appeared down the street. They brought in heavy equipment to scoop up the debris. They are removing soaked furniture, carpeting, etc. They are cutting out the wet drywall and insulation. They are loading the debris into dumpsters for removal from the neighborhood. The ladies with them are using mops and buckets to clean up the muck and water. What a wonderful group of people they are!! I don’t yet know how to make donations to them but that is where my money will go.

Yes, several years ago when parts of our little town here in Lindsay flooded, The Red Cross were the first and main people on the scene finding out what those affected needed and seeing that they got it quickly. That’s when I decided if I donated at any time it would probably be through them as you hear of so many other organizations that misuse funds and they don’t get to the ones in need. However, I know that any time that much money is involved there will be those try to misuse it. Remembering when I thought “Feed the Children” was a great place to donate and then they had a bad apple or two ruin that reputation. Praying for the victims! It is such a sad situation!
