Yes, several years ago when parts of our little town here in Lindsay flooded The Red Cross were the first and main people on the scene finding out what those affected needed and seeing that they got it quickly. That’s when I decided if I donated at any time it would probably be through them as you hear of so many other organizations that misuse funds and they don’t get to the ones in need. However, I know that any time that much money is involved there will be those try to misuse it. Remembering when I thought “Feed the Children” was a great place to donate and then they had a bad apple or two ruin that reputation. Praying for the victims! It is such a sad situation!
M Barnes safe and dry. Helping out friends who are not. Thanks for the sweet call Linda!
Teresa…We have friends that go with the Southern Baptist Relief group so I can find out how to donate to them but I don’t know right now. I’ll get back to you.
73112 is that zip code for the Baptist General Convention of Ok. Be sure to put Disaster Relief Fund on the bottom of the check she said.
Your welcome for the call M…so glad you guys were alright. Did water get into you home while you were away?
Teresa and others interested in donating to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief can send their checks to Baptist General Convention of Okla. with “disaster relief” on the for_____ line at the bottom to:
BGCO, 3800 N. May, Oklahoma City, Okla. (friend had forgotten the zip code but you can look it up on the net).
My friend said when they were going around the country on the crews they had lots of people want to give them money but they won’t take money but tell them it will really help to donate to their relief fund named above. That’s what I plan to do since I can go help do the work.
A friend just came by and said they are now fracing the last two of the 9 wells just drilled on sections 9 and 10 of 3n4w in Garvin Co. Oops, forgot I was on Stephen’s Co. group but most also check the Stephen’s Co. group I believe so I won’t retype it there.
WOW! What totals!!!
No water for us, but it sure came closer than it ever has before. Our next door neighbor’s back yard gauge was at 31.55"! Both of us have drains and pumps in the yards, so as long as the electricity was on, we were draining to the front and it kept it away from the house. One of our friend’s oil and gas plant had 52"! Will take a while for that to drain out.
Saw a rig platform on a truck headed south on highway 76 out of Lindsay this morning. Guess someone will be getting a new well!
I have received a call from Ace Energy and a letter from Northwest O&G Exploration, both wanting to lease my acreage in Section 3, Tshp 1, 5W. Has anyone had experience from either of these entities?
I now have a 3rd offer from Nichols Energy. They are in the range of $1,500-$1,750 for 3/16th. $1,000-$1,250 for 1/5th and $250-$500 for 1/4th.
Message me and I can give you contact information.
Rex, Terry – I have interest in S3 T1S R5w. Most of my interest is in S24 and 25 in T1S R5W mear Velma. There seems to be a lot of interest in S3 and S9 in this same township. Can anyone share insight into what is happening in this township?
Jerry, mine is in 1South. Failed to state this earlier.
Terry-I have interests in three sections of 1S-5W and was wondering what kind of offers Ace and NW had made you-I’m interested in leasing as well.
I know that Continental thru Bearcat has been leasing in sec 16 and 21-1S-5W in July of this year-but don’t know any prices terms etc.
thanks
John - There does seem to be some interest but I do not know what it is. I do know that I leased this same acreage in 2014 for quite a bit more than what I have received as offers recently.
Hi John & All. I’t been ages since I posted, but I’ve been reading everyone else’s news. I’m interested in any activity in Sec 3 1S 5W. I got a lot of “Pepper letters” and it sounded like they were about to drill, but it seems they haven’t. Do you or anyone else know what, if anything, is going on there?
Kathlyn, bunch of leasing going on in that section, so that is promising. Most of the drilling in 1S-5W is in the southern half of the section in an older field, so hoping the leasing is in the northern part and leading toward a new horizontal well. Nothing at the OCC in the last 999 days for hearings in the northern half. (except for 18)
Hi John, yes those are definitely some old fields. I had an uncle that lived in Duncan, Jack Mc Clanahan, he is my brother’s namesake. My dad worked for Mobil and retired after 43 yrs., he started learning his trade right there out of Velma while he was still in high school, then went offshore out of Morgan City, La.and ended up in Premont, Texas. Funny thing is after he retired, he began consulting and made a heck of a lot more money doing that than with Mobil. My sister and I both worked for Mobil out of West Ward Ranch around Vanderbilt Tx, she had over 20 yrs. before she retired, I worked in the office at both La Gloria and Seeligson Gas Plants in Premont area until we bought out Superior Oil and picked up all their employees. I got laid off after 7 yrs. My grandffather, William Jackson was a mule skinner with SunDX out of Ragtown during the Depression. My mom would talk about how Sun had soup lines for its employees and their families to help them thru the hard times. I guess you could say I have oil pulsing thru my veins. Haha Sure would be sweet if they would do some drilling in your family and my places again. We can only hope it ventures over our way some fine day.
Clint, thx for that info. This is what I found thus far. Hopefully this is of some help N/2 NE/4 & SE/4 NE/4 SEC 35-T1S-R5W NW/4 NW/4 SEC 36-T1S-R5W SW NW SEC 36-T1S-R5W INDIAN 1870 SEC 34-T1S-R5W ALL INDIAN 1870 SEC35-1S-5W SW/4
