Linda-
We have an interest in the Boles wells. I have not heard anything about any new drilling. Would be great though.

I sure thought someone said they were drilling some more Boles wells but maybe not. Anyone know what the new wells being drilled from Sec. 23 2n4w are being called and what sections they are going across?
Linda, the eight wells you are asking about are McClelland 2H-26X through 9H-26X. The surface locations are in Section 23. The horizontals head south through Section 26 into Section 35. They were supposed to end when the fault is encountered. This is Newfieldâs first attempt to drill that many wells in one section. Letâs hope they got it right. My family really appreciates your reports on the activity in the diggens.
Hello everyone! I posted a week or so ago asking if anyone had any information about what the outcome of Chevronâs auction of assets in Stephens County. They were suppose to auction of assets in the SOHOT and water flood areas. I believe that I posted SOHOT and SCOOP, but I meant SOHOT and water flood areas. Does anyone know if they auctioned this off or not and if so, who are the new owners?
Also, does anyone have any new news about SEC 14 1S 5W?
Thank you,
Kimberly
Thanks for that information Mike! So I suppose the fault they were suppose to encounter in Sec. 35 is the same one that stopped the drilling down into our section 34. Iâm wondering how far they got in 35 before they got to the fault. It must run catty cornered across the NE corner of 34 and run SE down through 34 somewhere. It will be interesting to find out. Hope Newfield decides to drill that many in 34 in the other part that doesnât contain the fault. My husband said sometimes there is a lot of oil around those faults but they evidently they have to be very careful when drilling around them though. Thatâs what some of the experts on this forum have said in the past.
K Dawn, You could check the okcountyrecords.com website to see if any leases have changed hands on that area. Or check the Chevron website.
Only see current new activity in Sec 18 1S-5W
My family is directly involved with the Chevron Sale. I am not comfortable sharing here what we are doing with Chevron. Some of our leases are nearly 100 years old. We are not cooperating with them on agreeing to the change in operators. We do not trust Chevron much.
Thanks Huey! Now I can feel safe to sign and send back in the DO. Appreciate the info.!
I believe the .00791016 is your decimal at 1/5 for Section 34. GPI is the Gross Production Interval of the total unit (10.8055% of the lateral is in section 34). So your total RI decimal is .00085473. You get that by multiplying .00791016 x GPI.
Can I get a little help with some math to help me figure out how much acreage they paid us for on the new little Mark well (well, the well isnât little but our percentage is) ??? We received the first check a week or so ago and just now received the DO papers. It says in our section 34 the Decimal is 0.00791016 The GPI is .108055 and the Well Decimal is 0.00085473 I know we are leased at 1/5 and they only went far enough that we get a little over 10% because they only went about something like 610 ft. into our section. All those numbers are Greek to me so can someone translate please? Thanks!
What I want to know Huey is how many acres are they paying us for? You are still talking over my headâŚwhich is easy to do. lol I believe we have nearly 20 acres in that section. Is that what they paid us for? Do those figures tell how many acres we have and are being paid for?
Hi Linda: Congratulations on getting a checkand DO for the Mark well S34-2N-4W. We have not received either a DO or check for our interest in that location. Who is the operator that provided the DO? I guess I must rattle their cage to get them moving on our ownership.
As you can see the link I posted about earthquakes was published in 2011 and updated in 2016.
Hi DonâŚIt was Newfield who drilled the well (we leased out to Continental) and sent the DO to us. Hope you receive both soon. Yes you may have to contact them and find out what is wrong that you havenât received yours. We did call them a few weeks ago because it seemed like it had been too long after we knew they had started selling. All she told me was âthey are working on the DOâs nowâ. Then we received the check for the first four months before we received this DO. Best Wishes!
Sorry, the last description is S27 T2N R5W.
BCF routinely sends out letters to buy in areas that are active are that might soon become active. The question is whether they are offering a high enough value. 2N-5W is a very active township. The Swinehart well in 22 just north of you has made over 1.2 BCF of gas so far.
There is very active leasing in 1S 5W over the last year, so I think something is about to happen there.
I have not dealt with BCF, so maybe other folks can comment on their style.
You have to ask if you can make more money over time in oil and gas or more in real estate. We do some of each to balance our portfolio to protect our legacy for our heirs.
John, it is probably one of the 6 Celesta wells in 5-2n/4w and 32-3n/4w
I got 5 letters in the mail today from BCF Minerals. They are expressing interest in purchasing my mineral interest in Sections 3, 4, 7 and 9 in T1S R5W as well as S27 R2N T2N. My interest in these is really small. I am considering following up with them as I think I can do better for my heirs by using the proceeds to help me with my real estate investments here in Arizona.
Any comments on what is happening here or on BCF or the wisdom of taking their offers?
The McClelland wells (the 3 of them close to the new Newfield Office) had the rigs gone and the crane looking things on them which I believe may be the things to handle the coiled tubing used before the fracking. Someone told me that some time ago but Iâm not sure about it. Just wanted to let yaâll know whatâs going on down there.
