Ryan…when did you receive this map? I sure hope they are now thinking it will go all the way through 34!! That would be cause for celebration!

That makes sense M…thanks for explaining.

Ryan…when did you receive the map that shows the Mark well to go all the way through 34 and being padded in the SE corner of 22? I received the first one with our papers a couple of weeks ago but nothing since.

Sorry Barbara I meant were your minerals not leased in 16 2n5w not 34 2n4w?

Force pooling hearing scheduled tomorrow at corp. commission

Linda, yes, my minerals were recently re-leased in section 16, 2N 5W. If there’s going to be a well there, does anyone know what it might be named? (Are all wells named?)

The squiggly lines at the beginning of the wells are the “vertical” portion of the well. They need to come off the well pad and then align in the preferred direction for the horizontal portion of the well. They have to do that so they don’t run into each other’s boreholes, especially if sharing a pad. Kind of like airplanes take off from a runway and then bank and turn into the proper direction for their flight.

Received the map yesterday

Ryan…is that pooling hearing for section 34 2n4w? Do you own minerals in that section? I’m sure we won’t get those papers because we already have ours leased to Continental. We still didn’t receive that map today. We don’t have very much in that section but have more in 34 than any other so that’s why I jokingly named it my “In My Dreams” well. Appreciate any additional information about it.

Barbara, I’ve checked the OCC databases and don’t find any activity in 16-2N/5W. A well could be in the planning stages but not yet applied for. There may be a few exceptions but generally all wells are named once the process gets underway.

Barbara…yes they always name the well. They usually name them after the land (surface) owner where it is padded. I don’t know who owns that land there. You know there was already a sign on that location (which is unusual before the well is completed) but dumbie me I didn’t look at the name only the location description. If we go back that way I will look next time.

So Hutch are you saying that the well we saw in Section 4 2n5w isn’t going south through Barbara’s section 16? “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.” Huh Barbara? Hutch…can you tell on those records where that well is going that is padded on sec. 4?

Linda, the permit shows The Orin 2-9H with surface in 4-2N/5W and the production interval about 5100ft.all in sec9. No mention of sec 16

Oh, shoot, hate hear that.

Yelp Barbara…know what you mean. We’ll keep a watch out for anything else started down that way. Take care of yourself and keep in touch to let us know how you are doing. You’ll be in our prayers.

Thanks so much, Linda and Hutch! I appreciate your efforts to find out! If only these companies would publish their intentions, huh! Of course, we know what the road to hell us paved with, don’t we? (Wink, wink) LOL!

Linda, yes I have minerals in section 34. Mark well is underway as you are aware. Would be happy to discuss more offline.

Ryan…friend me if you would like to discuss more offline as I’m not really sure how to do that but I do know how to accept it. Ok?

Well, I got the call back from the nice lady named Stephenie from Newfield and she said she had talked to the landman who told her that all of section 34 2n4w was pooled but that only 33 1 /3 was going to be included in the drilling of the Mark well. So, she didn’t say but I’m assuming or hoping I should say that they may have other wells in mind to drill or they probably wouldn’t pool it all, ya think? Wishful thinking again! lol

Question: When they force pool one’s minerals how much time do they have to drill on those minerals? Anybody???

Linda my understanding is that they have as long as the well or well(s) are producing. Also I believe they have to force pool wells to move them along if they can’t get a deal done.

The pooling order usually indicates how long they have. Typically it is one year. But I have never heard of a section being pooled and only 1/3 included in the well. Unless there is some modification to the pooling, the whole section will share in the well.
