Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

lol It does kinda, doesn’t it, Hutch? It actually says “Best In Class STACK SXL” I believe…does that make it any more clear? (Not to me!) I guess it means for the depth or the zone they are going to???

Sorry to hear of the loss of your MIL Linda. We started getting royalty on the Vanarkle wells last week. First check was for 4 months of oil and 3 months of gas. Not too shabby.

Received this today in my emails:

Noticed it said “Best in Class” well drilled in the Stack in 8.3 days to a little over 10,000 ft. Wow, that’s fast!!!

Best in class? Sounds like a car commercial.

LOVE those first checks after four months!!! Stash some back for Uncle Sam…he loves them too! lol

Blessings to your family Linda. Sorry to hear about your mom.

SXL Super Xtra Long??

Thanks M…it was my husband’s mom who passed away. She was my mother-in-law for nearly 49 years. At first I think she thought I was taking her baby away but I think I grew on her kinda like warts! lol

Thanks for the explanation of SXL…didn’t know what that was…I thought it said it was just a little over 10,000 ft. Not very super long nowadays is it?

We’re leased to Continental, through Bearcat Leasing, in Sections 4 and 5 of Township 1N Range 6W, and Section 33 of Township 2N Range 6W. These are set to expire in a few months, and we’ve heard nothing except a few form letters from folks who want to buy cheap. Is anyone seeing any interest in lease renewals in that area? I see two or three wells drilled in the southeast corner of the township a couple years ago, and a permit was issued but never acted on in, I recall, Section 15. We’re just trying to learn a bit about the prospects for this area when things heat up again. I know we’re a bit south and west of the hot spots, but they sure leased this area aggressively a few years ago. Any news or speculation welcome. Thanks Mark Delehanty

Our leases are up with Apache in August in Sections 18 & 19 Township 2N Range 5W. Looks like Tread Energy holds most leases in those sections but they didn’t start leasing until December of 2013. Apache holds ours and maybe one other in 19 and two besides ours in 18. Don’t expect to see an operator pressing to get started by August since the majority of leases didn’t start until December.

Thanks Barb…

Looked like when we went to Blanchard a few days ago that they were fracking the well just on the left side of Highway 76. I don’t know whether that is the right side of Grady County or the left side of McClain County so I’ll just post it here since many of you also own minerals up there…that and the fact I’m in too big of a hurry this morning and don’t want to change groups…lol Have a Blessed Day on this beautiful Sunday Morning!

The Woodford is very thick in those sections. Continental has been renewing leases and leasing mostly in the mid- southern part of the township. Echo has some new leases in 14-1N-6W

Continental has been leasing in 2016 in 26, 3l4, 35 of 2N-6W, so hang on for a while. Higher prices will help.

Watch any new leases for clauses that are not friendly to mineral owners.

That well was about a mile or two north of Dibble Corner I believe.

My condolences to you and your family, Linda.

Also the before mentioned well was drilled by Cactus.
