Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I received Information from occ on multi wells in Vanarkle 15 and 10, but did not understand what it was for since CR has already drilled them and division orders have been recently sent. Any expertise on this appreciated.

30-2N-5W I found an O&G Transfer Order in my deceased Mothers papers with Mom being the recipient from G’Ma. The document was signed and returned to Atlantic Richfield Company in 1989 with the wells listed Lubell, B.I., Zumwalt 1-30, Eiser 1-30 and Reichman #2. Mom changed residence that year so mail correspondence may have gotten returned to AR if any were sent. The Journal Record July 28th, 1989 Order #340754 for increased density has her listed as an owner also…Mom never sold her mineral rights and never rec’d checks from these wells. Merit Energy now owns the whole shebang and says there’s no money for Mom which doesn’t seem right. Is their anything I can do??

Good Michael because I may need to borrow a little till my next ship comes in and it’s taking on water quickly! lol

hehe…I imagine he can find lots of people to adopt if the price of oil doesn’t go back up soon! But, I’m betting it does (go back up)…guess I just have gambling in my blood! lol

Don, no offers here, not that I would sell but it is always fun to get offers.

Thank you for info again. That was it. Has anyone heard anything about Lowrance #2? I saw it on map.

Hi Don…speaking of 34 2n4w, no I haven’t received any offers lately. When I thought our lease was running out for the second time this May and posted that I got some interest from a man who owns some working interest that is on this forum and he may also be interested in leasing yours but I’m sure he will privately contact you if so when he sees your post. Come to find out our lease doesn’t run out with Continental until end of May of 2017 so that’s probably the reason I have heard from any one else. I haven’t heard of anybody planning to drill on it but I still have high hopes. The last recorded O&G lease I saw recorded was in Feb, of this year when I checked the other day. It was leased by Continental so I guess they are still somewhat interested.

We have received D.O.s on the new Vanarkle wells. I see that in the past our family signed the standard leases from the companies. I have in my file a copy of a ā€œMADOA Model D.O.ā€ and I cannot remember when/where I got it, although I think it was from the Forum. Do we have to sign the D.O. that comes from the company, or can we substitute another? I see the only difference is that we are supposed to ā€œindemnifyā€ the company from any title disputes, and they would withhold payment.

I know that past Forums discussed this, however I would like some current advice. Thanks !

Hutch and Linda!

Thanks for the love! haha!

I hope things pick up for us all!

Michael, you just can’t please some people, who ever thought we would have so many wells to begin with?

Cheryl, what you probably received was the final orders for each of the wells that says what the exact percentages of perforations in each section are. The original set had an estimate and the final set will have the actual. It is usually about two or three pages in and gives a table with the perforations and the percentages in a sentence. See if that is what your received. Or tell me the CD on one of them and I will look it up.

Cynde003-

The Lubell produced from June 1966-Nov 1966, not worth messing with

Zumwalt 1-30 produced from Apr 1985-Aug 2015 worth messing with

Eiser 1-30 produced from Feb 1966-August 2015 worth messing with

Reichman #2, don’t see it, but see a Reichman 1-30 from Sept 1987 to Aug 2015. Those August dates may not be current.

I would contact the Division order analyst at Merit and find out why they do not think she has ownership and what you need to do to correct it. Send them copies of the documents you have. They may need affadavit of heirship or probate documents. Send certified mail return receipt and keep copies of everything you send. Who has the mineral rights now? That may a question to ask. Also, you might check with unclaimed funds with the state Treasurer’s office under mom and g’ma names. Might take a little more detective work.

Hutch/Martha- are you guys surviving all the flooding down there? Anyone hearing anything about 06 02n 04w? I think they have all spud. Hope prices keep moving up.

NARO has the NADOA (National Association of Division Order Analysts) Model D.O. This is the safest one to use. They can still withhold payment during a title dispute until it is cleared up. This is a contract between the purchaser of the oil/gas and they want to make sure they pay the correct person(s).

(In the future, don’t sign the lease they give you-negotiate for a better one!)

Thank YOU ! And most definitely we will sign better leases if the occasion arises, as seems to be coming in McClain County.

I remember when the first Poteet was drilled… We were all in a bit of shock and amazement! Then it was boom, boom, boom… Now its bust, bust, bust…

This is part of it, i guess. Ask anyone who worked the oil patch in the 80’s. this stuff happens…

Some parts of town were hit really hard. We are fine. Three feet of water at the end of the street, but we are on the high end. More rain coming in a couple of hours, so folks are a bit concerned as the bayous and rivers are still rising from the rain on Monday and the runoff from the current rain coming.

Should start seeing some completions soon unless they are waiting to get them all finished and do a zipper frac on them all at once.

Jen, we are south of the really hard hit areas. My wife works in downtown Houston but went in early on Monday and got back out before the streets closed in on her. Thanks for asking.

M. Barnes-After digging in a little deeper I’ve found that although I now own the mineral interest in the 30 2N 5W wells, the percentage I actually have may not even be enough to buy my lunch! Guess you don’t know until you try but for now I’ll keep my day job! Thank You for your response and a big Thank You to Rick Howell for the help and great advice! You guys are the greatest!

Cynde, I recently settled a claim with an operator in OK. It was a very small interest. Operator paid over ten years of unpaid royalty plus 12% accrued interest in accordance with OK law. The interest was more than the royalty and my attorney’s fee. John
