Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

the notice was referring to Vanarkle 6. here is a better map.Vanarklewellsmap.pdf

What is the CD #?

The Vanarkle 6 was completed December 7 with first production December 15, 2015. It is producing approximately 290 bopd and 5400 MCFGPD.

I understand, John but the mail still said Vanarkle 6 in it…

Thanks everyone ! I can actually see and read these. I had thought the VanArkles were all in both 15 and 10, however I realize some seem to be in 15 only and some (the new ones) in both sections.

Don’t know for sure but I believe that the first Vanarkel was only in section 15 but I believe the rest included both sections.

Our internet has been down for several days so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do on my reading of emails.

Today our family received 4 DOs from Continental for the Vanarkel’s; #s 2,3,4,and 5. Got a notice today on Vanarkel #6 from David Pepper. All are in 21 and 28. Also got D.O. from Newfield for the Doyle well. We did not get any preliminary information on the Doyle wells, and due to a surgery last year I was off the forum for some time. Can I get a bit of advice on the D.O. signing, as we have always just signed them as they came. Also, I will look back last year for discussion on the Doyle well(s) but can I get any info on where to look for the perforation percentages in 21 and 28? I have no idea as yet if the owner interest they have is correct. I have found errors in past years. Thanks very much…

Well, everyone. Please don’t do any extra work, I just read the postings since October and got the info on the progress and completion of the first Doyle well. I saw where I posted a question I did not remember. I can only draw out this ā€œ(I am recovering from spinal surgery)ā€ excuse so long". Memory is still a bit affected, but recovery, Lord willing, is almost complete. Thanks in advance for any answers on the other questions I posed !

Cheryl: I am certainly no expert, and am catching up like you, however in looking at the Forum from September last year until recently, I see the documents related to the Vanarkles. The completed forms I received are the same as yours, with numbers related to percentages being a bit different. I believe this is because of geological things and the completion and perforations of the pipes being different than predicted. I think there is no way to completely predict what will happen down there. So, where it originally said a certain percentage in one section, the reality is a bit different. Someone in the know please correct me if I am wrong. Like you, Cheryl, I am playing catch up. I think also that few people are on the Forum right now due to things not happening as much as they were last year, and slowing down for many folks… My family were all surprised by these arrivals in the mail today ! I can only guess that on Lowrance wells, the change of financial things made all the companies conserve and do more with less surface cost. Blessings !!!

Cheryl

Have not been on in a long time as I could not find password. Received Division orders for #2,3,4,5 on Vanarkle 10 today. The percentages do not agree to previous papers received. Did anyone notice this or am I looking at them wrong?

Has anyone had any notification on Lowrance #2? Any feedback appreciated.

Thank you for the map I really appreciate that . It is a great help.

Per the Vanarkels…Each well has a slightly different drilling length. The revenue interest decimals are based upon the percentage of the hole perforated in your section. So each well is most likely going to have slightly different RI.

The formula is:

net acres/spacing unit x royalty % x % perfs in your section.

Example: 10 ac, 640 spacing, 3/16ths, 50% perfs

10/640 x .1875 x .50=0.00146484

Go to the OCC website and look up the documents for each well and find the Exhibit for the Final Location Exception. 201500422 will get you started on the 4-15-10XH well. It gives the maps, the survey, the percentages, etc. Note how the shape and length of each well is different.

I have no clue why Vanarkles 6 and 7 didnt have DOs delivered yet.

Does anyone know?

Darn, I should have remembered that M. Barnes answered a question I had and it is on the McClain County forum. It is the latest posting as of tonight. I was asking her questions on both forums, so it went there, and explains the Vanarkle. I tend to get wordy, and can ask multiple questions at once. I am trying to get better with this. So, It is the Vanarkle and it will be the one I mentioned in the posting below.

Received the final two Vanarkle DOs yesterday!

Day before yesterday we received a notice from Continental’s Attorney with a petition to put a multiunit hortizontal well into section 10 from 15. I think this might account for one of those wells. It was granted to add 10 with the 15 drilling, I think. The Cause before the Commission is Cause # 201500427, with order number 651215 signed on the 29th of March. The surface location is: 2420 feet from the south line and 1745 feet from the east line of Sec 15. So, I think they are just going to keep drilling one of the wells they already drilled, as it is noted in the petition that ā€œContinental has drilled a multiunit hortizontal wellā€ in the ā€œlands involvedā€. Seems to me they are extending to economize, but others will know more.

Linda, I’m in that boat too.

Hi Linda: My current lease on Sec 34 02N 04W ran out a few weeks ago and I received an offer to lease from Murray Land Services for 3 years @3/16 royalty with $1,800/nma bonus today. Murray did the last lease in 2013 for Eagle Rock Mid-Continent but the current offer did not indicate who they are leasing for. I am going to make several changes in the lease and ask for their bonus for 1/4 royalty and am in no hurry to lease. Have you or Kirk Bloomquist received any recent offers? Have you heard any talk of interest in drilling anything in section 34 or any speculation that they may have solved the geology of the fault underlying this section. I could get a little excited if oil & gas prices started toward the 2014 levels. Good to see you back adding to our knowledge of what’s going on in this corner of Stephens County hope the hail missed you.

I got an offer to purchase 16-2-5 for 5K/acre today. Not happening, but sure wish they’d drill. I’ getting too old to wait it out, LOL!
