Fred, I’ve known Mr McBride for 30 years and he has always given out free advise, but has to make a living charging for his work also. I’m a paralegal and have done the same. We are freely helping mineral owners because we see the need.

This should work considering the price of oil is so low, know of any Tulsa attorneys?

Oklahoma has a simplified probate process for small estates. To use it, an executor files a written request with the local probate court asking to use the simplified procedure. The court may authorize the executor to distribute the assets without having to jump through the hoops of regular probate.

You can use the simplified small estate process in Oklahoma if the value of the estate is $175,000 or less ($200,000, effective November 1, 2013), or if the deceased person has been dead for more than five years, or if he or she resided in another state at the time of death. 58 Okla. Stat. Ann § 245.

Anyone know of someone who does mineral appraisals in Oklahoma?

Have minerals in Garfield,Grant and Noble counties.

Thanks

Fred

Martha,Steve never returned my call but I got hold of a gas and oil attorney in Tulsa who seems to be very knowledgeable about probate for minerals.

Jimmy,we have a new well also but I wish they hadn’t drilled know with oip prices as such low levels. The checks wont be near as good if oil was $80 or higher plus production rapidly goes down the first 5 years.I agree with Martha, believe prices will rebound around 2020 and hopefully new wells will be drilled.

Fred

Martha, those articles don’t mean anything. They come up with something new to say almost every day.Nobody has a crystal ball,we live in hope…

Fred

Fred, This is a repeat of the 80’s when I started a small oil company. It survived because I did not borrow money. Banks are now requiring oil companies to drill more wells to prove that their reserves can produce more oil before they will lend more money so the companies with little debt and lots of cash will survive to buy the ones that fail. Same old story.

Jimmy and Fred, Fox News Reports: “Qatar’s energy minister, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, confirmed that exporters from within and outside the OPEC cartel will meet April 17, 2016 in Doha, stoking hopes of an agreement to ease a global supply glut.” I heard it was 12 countries to meet. Houston rumor mill claims it will be mid summer before prices stabilize. We’ll see. http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2016/03/18/oil-retraces-gains-af…

Sandridge is a prime buy out candidate…

Bob, You are so right! I don’t care which party wins as long as they are for US energy independence.

Martha, my Bonus check from AEW arrived in the mail today!! Yippee! The first sale day for both the two original wells was 2-13 so hopefully royalties may start showing up in June/July? Also the application for the two new wells to be drilled in the Mississippian will be heard next Tuesday. Jimmy

Fred, Price has to go down to $30 so Exxon can buy oil companies. In 2017 price will go up if they have bought all they want. O/G biz doesn’t run on hope, it runs on greed.

Most all companies run on bottom line mentality.I know I owned 5 different ones.

Fred

Not sure if Hillary or Trump would be the best at accepting cash from the Oil Companies, but Hillary is in Goldman Sachs pocket, but Trump might tell all other countries, we don’t want your oil…Cruz is a Texan, but not sure if he is an oil lover. This election is important…

Today’s EIA data showed oil inventories down 4.9 million barrels vs. last week’s 2.3 million build. The draw down is due to Exxon reporting it is reopening Torrance, CA refinery and other refineries taking more crude in preparation for summer driving. Gasoline is cheap in OK, so Okies need to go on lots of long road trips to keep the price of oil up. LOL!

Martha, I respectfully disagree concerning our next president. He or she will probably appoint at least 3 Supreme Court judges. The wrong ones could greatly affect the oil and gas industry. You and Fred are much more knowledgeable concerning government than I. If I’m incorrect I’ll eat crow .LOL JC

Natural gas fired power plants with CO2 capture and sequestration is the best low carbon energy production source.

Thanks Martha, will do

JC, I’m just trying to keep the peace on the forum. We are not supposed to talk about politics. I have very strong opinions too! LOL!

Good morning Martha, the “novice” has a few questions for you. The two Woodford wells that AEW drilled have been producing since 2-13 (no division order yet). The two new ones in the Mississippian are awaiting OCC approval. Questions: (1) if AEW drills radials from one, two or all of the for wells, is each radial considered a :well" itself? (2) Do they have to have a hearing and get OCC permission for each radial? and (3) Does AEW notify owners about any and all radials drilled? Thanks for any advice. Jimmy
