Marshall County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Hi Daniel,

What is XTO offering you per net mineral acre? Thanks.

Don,

Without looking it up, I think it was around $5850 per mineral acre.

Daniel, I emailed XTO about the Thompson well. Here is what they replied: At the present time, we are still hauling water off of this well and it is just producing a little oil and gas. There have also been compressor issues in the last month or so. The foreman is hoping to have these problems resolved and hopefully we will start seeing sales again in a month or so. There has been no sales/production on the well since the beginning of May 2013.

Tom.

First, how can they hold the lease, if there has been not production

I am have the same problem in Carter Co 25 3S 2E. Nothing reported for this months check.

Tom,

We had a well that had so much water that it could not produce. They installed GAS LIFT to help get the water out and let the gas push the oil and other product to the surface.

I got a call from XTO today and they said the well in 25 3S 2E was back up and producing. They had shut well in to do some work on it. I did not ask what was done.

I think what is taking so long on the 30 3S 3E well is they are trying to get the deeds in order for those that sold their mineral rights. It has only be a little over 90 days since the offer was closed.

Tom.,

I think they will take there time as they have the lease held by production. I think the will drill the maximum number of wells, unless this is not a productive section.

Tom,

It is salt water from around the lateral. The lift did help, but not much. I would not be surprised if they install a pump. There is a lot of water there. To bad they can’t or don’t re-cycle this water and use this as part of the drilling mud.

Daniel, is the water that is in the well and they are trying to get out, is it from underground streams and aquifers that this water gets in? I had thought they have casing down far enough to where water at well water depth could not get in? They did not seem to have this water problem at the first few months production, why would it come up now? I am just trying to understand how this works. Now after a gas lift is installed and working properly, will this help production go higher? Thanks, Tom

Mr. Ayres, are these results from wells under the old Madill field?

Cooper, these wells are not under the old Madill field, these are Northeast of Madill, between Tishomingo and Madill. I hope this helps.

Thank you. Some really nice initial production there.
