Rick, you are absolutely right. I was just making a quick reference that the AFE’s are 2 different levels cost. Thanks for clearing that up.
Rick, also had another typo. That legal for the Newfield well is in Garvin County. Not Stephens.
Mr. Wilson, you are correct. There are a few different zones in the area. Most of the press releases from osage only talk about the Miss formation. Please see the below 1002A info for the Woodford formation.
API No. 08324046; C. Matthews 5-18N-2W No. 1 WH Well; TD 10,225’; Oil; Woodford; 902 BOPD, 573 MCFPD; Horizontal Hole;
As to the actual depths and thickness of the formations in this area it will depend upon which side of the Nemaha you are on.
Re: the formation depths listed below.
Compare the depth of the Woodford and the Viola in these two document. Top one is in Stephens Co and the bottom in Carter Co.
Mr. Howell brought up a good point about the Woodford in Stephens County “The Scoop” most of the people on here are very aware of the scoop & the offer letters going out to buy minerals at 6-10K an acre. but if you are not caught up on the scoop just google it. The Osage guys would have to work 14 hours days 7 days a week to match the press releases that come out on that area. Both of these Woodford plays have pros and cons. I will list some basic things interesting to both.
Stephens County recent pooling terms & 1002A Woodford. Section 36-T3N-R4W (Newfield)
Formations: WOODFORD TD: 23776 BOPD: 182 MCFPD: 1488 Spud Date: 12/06/2012 Finished Date: 01/26/2013 Completed Date: 02/23/2013 First Prod. Date: 03/10/2013
Now Logan County: Section 5-18N-2W (Devon)
Anybody have any production figures for 31-20-2?
Believe someone drilled in the S/2 last November,we have minerals in the N/2 which is in Noble county…thanks.
I received the same comments from Mineral Steve at least 10 times this afternoon…
Rick, you are absolutely right. I was just making a quick reference that the AFE’s are 2 different levels cost. Thanks for clearing that up.
Steve,
When you said “half as deep, almost 4 times the cost”, It looked to me that you like you were saying the reason it was 4 times the cost was it was half as deep.
Rick,
Sorry for the confusion on my part. I meant half as deep and 4 times less, if that wasn’t clear.
Logan = not as deep & cheaper to drill
Scoop = deeper & more expensive
Linda,
In that section there were a few irregular units for the Cleveland formed.
A. 320 acre cleveland unit by Crown (including the SW/4 of 31-20N-R2W & NW/4 of 6-19N-2W) cleveland unit by Crown
&
A 440 acre Cleveland unit by Continental ( including the N/2 of 31-20N-2W & N/2 NW/4 & SW/4 NW/4 of 32-20N-2W.
Only production numbers I can find are for Crowns unit and the well name is the Crowder 1-6H.
API No. 083240390001; Crowder No. 1-6H Well; TD 8600’; Oil; Cleveland; 68 BOPD, 55 MCFPD; Horizontal Hole;
Thanks Steve,
Got a spacing change in the mail a couple of weeks ago and evidently Sundance Energy is replacing Continental in northern half.
Ron, you may need to keep dancing for awhile to keep all the ponds full!! Don’t stop we’re getting close! lol
Mineral Steve … Did you mean mineral are selling for 6 to 10K per acre in Logan county?
I don’t know if anyone posted this in a previous thread but Sundances Branson 17-4-26 1-HM (Logan County, S26-T17N-R4W) had a 24 hour peak of 520 barrels of oil on early flowback. I found the info in a share holders release (see page 16 at link below) that provides numbers of some of thier other Logan County wells.
http://files.shareholder.com/downloads/AMDA-WAFII/2529365180x0x6698…
They should be posting a 30 day IP within the next week I would think and I hope it’s sustained!
I have an interest in a well in Logan Co… My question is, the well in question has been in “flow back” for over two months. Does that tell me that the well is a slow producer or that it may be a “dud”?
KJ, my sense is that it does not tell “us” much of anything. Everything is new and uncharted in Oklahoma Minerals, oil and gas production, exploration techniques are new, the equipment is new, and the laws are new and there will be an important Presidential Order affecting us in really big ways this very weeik. It is coming and nothing can stop it. I am not suggesting it is wrong, right, or otherwise, but it will happen. Energy prices will soar and everyone knows that. But to your question, to me it only suggests that they are taking their time and analyzing every little detail of well production for future reference and guidance. It is a very exciting time, no matter if Ruffed Grouse is a winnor or a dud. I love every minute of these matters.
