Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Soil farming of the drilling mud? First time I have seen that in a “Surface Damage Agreement Receipt and Release.” Anyone have knowledge of or experience with soil farming as a replacement for a “reserve pit?” Soil farming apparently requires the approval of the OCC. No mention is made of the OCC monitoring the actual application of the “drilling mud and fluids” and for this reason seems like a rather dubious attempt to lower drilling costs or passing the costs to the land owner.

thank u Mr. Kennedy for your timely advice it is most helpful.

It will also support more than one lateral per section like the Miss & Woodford here in Logan County. Here is more 1002A info for the same section as proof.

This link was posted in McClain and a few other counties for the Scoop but also has some of the woodford mapped in Logan County as well. Page 11 of the presentation by Eagle Rock.

The well is actually in both Stephens and Garvin. That one is the Campbell 1H-36X. It is a multi-section well with a 10,000’ lateral. The Surface Hole is in 12-2N-4W which is in Stephens Co, the first half of the production lateral is in 1-2N-4W (in Stephens also) and then it crosses the county line into section 36-3N-4W which is Garvin Co.
So that BOPD is for 2 sections of production area.

All of this is only a skimming of the very tip of the Logan/Payne County iceberg that is staring us right in the face. (I think.) Next week,President Obama will sign an executive order that sort of “stifles” the coal energy production, in the name of “climate change control.”. It would never pass either house, but he can, and will do this. I believe the players in this are Obama, Boone Pickens, Dick Cheney and his co-harts, etc. They all know exactly what they are doing. Obama’s first campaign speech before ever elected to President, included the following words, that he repeated constantly while campaigning… “…under my plan, the cost of energy will NECESSARILY skyrocket…” Hardly anyone payed it too much attention, but it was no accident that only LAST spring, Obama visited Cushing, Oklahoma, and issued another Presidential Order, all perfectly legal, to get the Cushing-Houston leg of the Keystone Pipeline finished RIGHT NOW. That was over a year ago, and it has been accoplished. Logan/Payne Counties are both very important to all of this planning. Nothing in politics or the business-energy production world is accidental, it is all planned. All of it.

Mr. Wilson,

Here is some 1002As info for another formation here that is starting to be drilled horizontally here in Logan. You mentioned it as well. “Cleveland”

Tnx Min Steve and these is just the very beginning.

Scoop woodford = 13.7 million AFE (depth big factor in cost per well, over 23K)

Logan woodford = 3.5 million AFE (half as deep, almost 4 times the cost)

The gas is very wet in the scoop and helps the operators with well economics.

That being said I own minerals in both areas. I have been very surprised and pleased and what my gas sells in this area from new wells compared to other counties in the Miss. Its not as wet as the scoop but its no where close to being considered dry gas either.

That’s why most on here try and give the advice for a depth clause in a lease. If you have one limited to the Miss then you will get another lease bonus or maybe a higher royalty on the next formation if it is developed.

Same section but lets take a look down below at the Miss formation.

Logan 1002A info for Sec. 5-18N-2W Same as below. (Devon)

sorry for the typo below. It should read "almost 4 times cheaper in Logan than the scoop.

Steve,

That 13.7 mil must be a multi-section well with a 10,000’ lateral as most are lower than that. Typically I have seen them 8-10mil in Stephens Co with a TVD of 13-15,000’

Gary,

Glad your computer works…
