Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Is you daughter’s name Jennifer Riddle ? They are getting ready to drill two wells in section 14 and I would advise against selling . Would you or your daughter want to call and I would bring you up to date?

E GAry Campbell = I am sure Ron M. can advise best. Just an FYI: 14=17n=3w is on the OCC Court Docket this week. The lawyer for Osage Exploration and Slawson is Charles Helm. His office was helpful to me on a similar issue. The number is 405-232-9000.

E. Gary Did you find my # ok ?

Harley I show the pooling on 9 was recommended on 4/4/13 , so they should issue the order any day. No permit yet that I could find.

db—THANK YOU AGAIN----nine days

Newbie There are several Co. leasing in 17n-4w . I found a pooling order for section 19-17n-4w . In it the Oil Co. was ordered to offer $750 for 1/8th,725 for 3/16th , or 700 for 1/5th. The terms of your lease are very important . It would be good to go over it on the forum before you sign I think.

Thanks so much Ron! So far we just received a very basic letter from Jackfork for Sundance. 1st letter said Mississippi formation then changed a week later to Woodford. It doesn’t mention length of lease, etc. only bonus and royalty. I have been reading a lot on here (thanks everyone for all the info you share!) and searching maps and company websites, etc. We don’t know our net acres or spacing and probably a lot of other important things that should be on the lease! My husband spoke to a landman (the one on the letter was out that day) and he said he’d call back but hasn’t. We are going to call Donna or Junior @ OCC as suggested here. Are there other things we should ask them besides going rate in/near Section 22?

newbie, I checked the Logan County Courthouse Records just now and notice a couple of Land Companies, among others, making somewhat recent leases. They are Arrowhead Energy an Brannon Land. Both have addresses in Edmond. If you want to read the leases and see other information, go to the following link and click on Logan County. Then enter your legal description. If you desire to view or print documents you will need a subscription. A basic subscription costs $10 per month. You can cancel after one month. There is another fee if you want to print per page. You can learn a lot in a hurry about the side of the business required to file there. Doesn’t replace or duplicate the OCC web site.

Newbie, 22-17N-4W, 4/22/13 Sundance applied for spacing, pooling & location exception. Pooling hearing is 5/13/13

Verna,

By the way, this list is of the entire section and royalty interests only. Not sure I know enough to know what might be specific to your particular farm. Mt Kelley may know that kind of info,

Verna,

Click on this link and you will see all of our names and addresses. This application for Horizontal Spacing was filed at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission a while back. There is also a Pooling Application.

J. Craig Kelley, We are SE 1\4 of NW 1/4 Sec 9 17 N 3 W. Thank you Harley Baade for this Information.

Thanks Harley and Mineral Steve. The site is down for maintenance at the moment but I will be spending time there as it turns out there are some issues with title:-( I’ll start studying up on pooling too.

Yes sir, thats a great site!

As a land owner, is there away to find who has our mineral rights? 9-17N-3W

Verna, I live in Guthrie and own a consulting firm. Im in the courthouse everday. I dont mind doing a quick search for you. no cost. message me your info.

Sam,

assuming you are talking about Range 4W instead of 34W, there was a well drilled in the NE/4 in 2007 that is producing. But it is the West half of the NE/4 so you may need a further description of your ownership.

There are a lot of possible issues that could be involved. You are listed on the spacing order. I don’t see a pooling order. Was the estate handled in another state? I don’t see a deed recorded in your name or anything else related to the events.

Hi. I’m a newbie on the Logan County forum. My mother grew up in Guthrie and inherited some mineral rights in NE/4 of S17 17n-4W, out west of Crescent. Years past (1960s and before) she received a small royalty from a well there, but my sister says the well dried up and the royalties quit about 1963.

Mom died in 1999, and my sister handled the executor functions. It was noted in the filing of her will that she was "the owner of the interest in all of the oil, gas and other minerals in and under the real property described as:

The Northeast Quarter of Section 17,

Township 17North, Range 34 West, County

of Logan, State of Oklahoma."

I received queries about buying the property by mail in 2006, but did not followup (my bad).

There was a 2007 filing for Spacing that indicated Arrowhead Energy was drilling a well, but no results are known for what happened.

I see from some posts here that there is recent drilling within a couple of miles of that section, but I have received no notices of recent filings or actions on S17. Any suggestions on how I find out what has happened and what is going on in S17, if anything?

Sam Penny

Ron - Mary Pexton was Mom’s sister, my aunt. She lived in Denver for many years. She died sometime around 1965.

Sam,

Your Mother shows up on current spacing unit order in 33-7N-6W with a Cali address. You are listed on the same order so I would guess you are aware of it. The existance of her name on this document is another sign of possible marketable title issues.
