lol. Are you sure about those decimals?

Luther,Ok. where todays quake was reported, is 12–15 miles east of Ok. City on I-44, close to the Nemaha fault line. This same fault line runs North up thru Logan Co. on the extreme western side, probably very close to Cresent, Ok. With a little luck, maybe they won’t have to frac as hard to get things loosened up.

This posting is an excerpt from a note I just sent to my cousing based upon my personal research and understanding about a single property, namely mine in 17N,3W.

I just spoke to a lady at Digital Land Inc. They are the handling matters for Osage Exploration and Slawson Exploration in Logan County.

As a result of this discussion, here is my understanding of the process and the tentative schedule.

Under the assumption there will a clean and agreeable Commission Court process, OUR WELL is on the Slawson Drilling Schedule for July 2013****.

There are four rather distinct steps:

The process and timing goes as follows more or less:.

The first order of business is The Horizontal Spacing Order. The court date has been re-set a third time for 4/23/13. One of the parties has an issue regarding pipeline right of way and a salt water disposal well in the area. When the Horizontal Spacing Order is made, we and all other parties shown on the Hearing Application will each receive a copy of the order with a Reference Number.

At that time an Application for a Permit to Drill will be filed. The application will likely show that the Pooling and Location Exception Orders are still pending.

At the same time we and others receive the Court Order, Devon, Sundance and any other potential working interests will have 20 days to decide their level of working participation, The Pooling.

At this moment the timing of the Location Exception issue is a bit of a fuzzball. I sometimes see it on the Court Docket in concert with and sometimes after the Horizontal Spacing and Pooling. Sometimes, again and again.

LOL I indeed suggested this very possibility a while back, Catherine, and somebody inferred that I must be nuts. Well, I do not deny this. LOL

Regarding the last post from Osage and Mr Bradford, If he is successful, a bunch of us Logan County 17N, 3W folks are successful. For me. I bought several thousand shares in OEDV yesterday. Wish I had more acreage.

Since the drilling/fracking activity has obviously picked up in Logan/Payne Counties, I am wondering about todays earthquake in NorthCentral Oklahoma, if it will have any effect on drilling and or exploration? Though only a 4.1 magnitude, I am sure environmentalists will be quick to jump on it, while the rest of us will try to pretend it did not even happen.

Harley Baade—This isn’t Catherine—thank you for the information on viewing Osage’s presentation on www.osageexploration.com, . Watched it all late last night. If you are anovice in the mineral right owner area as we are, it is very informative. I understand a lot more of what I thot I already knew. Thanks again, ours is in 17-3 and it’s looking better all the time!

“This isn’t Catherine” = Hope you reviewed the presentation filed with the 10=K. It is on the bottom left of the home page and is later than the other one. It is the one that shows the Wolf 1-29H producing more than 91,000 barrels in first 12 months. I wish I knew why there is no info on the OCC database as to completion reports for those last six wells. I cannot find the Form 1002A or the 1029A. I listened to Mr Bradford’s presentation at that conference on the 16th. He explained how a couple of the producing wells are under producing because of downhole drilling issues. Sooo, their goal is to drill a well in all of the 115 sections to protect their lease holdings. Then I guess they will start over again to complete the goal of three wells per section. It will be interesting to see if they add more rigs. With 2=3 rigs and 20-24 wells per year, it will take a while to get the next hundred wells. Osage does not have a big corporate infrastructure. So they may just go slow. Since their partner companies are privately held, we do not know as much about them. My guess is that a second well on any particular section is likely not to happen for perhaps three years. Even then they will probably prioritize to the sections with the bigger payouts from the first round of wells. Now we know why there is a letter in the mail every day or two or a voice mail on the recorders from shoppers for our minerals…Cheers

Mr Wilson, In case you missed Bradford’s speech, and to the matter of earthquakes… Apparently Mr Bradford’s geologist determined that at some point in time an underground action focused under Township 17N=3W caused the Mississippian formation to partially fracture. Result is that the oil and gas are easier to extract. Maybe less fracking. I do not understand all of that. He referred to this phenomenon as the “fractured chert”. Notice on Page 8 of the 10K powerpoint that concentration of the first 20 wells on 17N=3W. Sooo, does that mean a little earthquake now and again is a good thing?? Guess it depends on how you make your money.

Section 31-17N-3W already has 2 horizontal wells. They are not Osage wells though. Stephens Production drilled the McPhail 1-31H completed on 9/13/12. Then filed for the Love 1-31H spud on 3/7/13

I believe that Stephens is one of the drilling companies contracted to Osage as Stephens is listed as one of the operators on the Osage corporate presentation.

That would not be correct. Stephens is a great group from Ft Smith. They have been in the business for a long time and have wells all over the country. Its more likely that Osage had some leasehold in the section that they participated with.(which is how they have the drilling reports and production numbers for their press releases) Osage actually has no say or control of what happens here as they are not the operator or “majority interest holder” Osage sold the leases to Slawson for cash and a percentage in the wells. Craig, Steve and Todd Slawson are the guys mineral owners in T17N-R3W should thank. Osage is just a stock ticker that is “releases” this info to bump up their stock for the guys on Wall street.

Think of it this way. If you were an oil company that discovered or re-discovered a great area to drill for oil and gas. Would you plaster your success all over the world wide web and newspapers for your competitors to see? Probably not. That would only make more competition for leases and mean that you would probably not have a majority interest in as many sections to drill. Which in turn means less money. BUT… If i was a stock ticker, I would do just that.

G ood morning db----well, it.s been 10 days and I said 9, but yesterday was Sunday, and everybody has to have a day off. We’ve gotten about 2 inches of rain since last report and everything is green and I’m starting to have to mow ghrass. The lake filled up and roared over the spillway. Hope you got your share of the rain. We read the Osage report that was given in NY but all that information was before the Ruffed Grouse was spudded so, how we doing? Are we going to have to get in line to be fracced? Any information at your convenience is always apprecciated.

the rig was taken down today, waiting for frac

Asking for assistance, my daugther just received letters from two petroleum companies asking to buy the mineral rights for Section 14-17N-03W, Logan Cty, OK. One offered $2,400 an acre. It was addressed to her deceased mother-in-laws, c/o my daughter. This was a total surprise, no one had any knowledge she owned mineral rights in OK. We live in TN. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Here is a copy of the pooling application for section 14. Look for your name.

I sent my # in a friend request in upper right hand corner of this page.

Anyone know what is currently going on near 17N-4W-22? We are new to this and wondering what a good lease offer for mineral rights these days would be. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
