Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Steven, I know nothing and admit it, but I did read about a well in Logan County a few years ago that exploded during pumping, and I do believe 1 person was killed??? Google Logan county ok oil well fire I think you should find it.

ruffed grouse///// info is correct other than it should have been intent to drill, not completion,se,se,se,of sw1/4

db-----I knew if we went to the right source for the information we could get the straight skinny on these questions, thank you again. From the legals on the well it sounds like they put it between the hi-line and the corner of your property

mcf stands for 1000 c.f. so 1000 mcf would be 1,000,000 c.f.

cheat?

Here is another interesting article:

Sorry to interrupt the Facebook social media stuff about Cedar Plank Salmon and old computers///////

thank you for the information db. i alwasy get confused…does that mean 300000 cubic feet or 300000 mcf. my momma had a well out west and they would say things like “two million a day” but when the check came it was always a smaller number, but said MCF. the gas company said that just means thousand cubic feet. for a long time we thought they were cheating us, ha ha ha.

North Sea 107.36$s, West Texas 93.71 nat gas 3.93

How much is salmon today?

Ronald,

You may be right, Logan Co may be a big oil patch yet.

Then I can buy more salmon at $12.99 # for Atlantic Salmon. But, it’s worth every bit of that. The cedar slab salmon is delicious. Can’t wait till the Wild King salmon season, will try that next. Thanks Chad.

We have a small interest in the following sections:

28 16N 1W

26 16N 1W

6 15N 2W

Any leasing or drilling activity close? Although we have lots of family in Oklahoma, we live in Boston and can’t drive by.

You’re welcome Virginia. It’s the least I can do for someone who has helped educate me with her posts.

R V Wilson----you were right, Ruffed Grouse #1-20H is the well on 20-17-3. The Tulsa World has got to have it wrong. It would be nice if they weren’t, but I can’t believe they are not. We’ve got to get the straight dope on this so-----------

db-----I’m sure you read the report that was in the Tulsa World, what say you, Is the paper right or wrong?

ha ha I have done some newspaper writing myself, and believe you me, it is probably the most difficult form of writing on the planet. Nobody leaves you alone, everybody is always pestering you just for a mention in your column, and everybody either loves you to pieces or hates your innards, there is no in between. Getting it wrong comes naturally. LOL

they basic took our minerals in the 80s ,remember, windfall profits tax

to steven walters, the only well i know of se of guthrie about five miles is ,harvey #1H, sec 11, 15n 2w. by devon

what section is your oil rights in

@db I think that’s the one. the harvey. I looked at a grid map thing with the sections and that well would fit perfectly with what I saw and was told. the flame was really big way bigger than that one by pennsquare mall in oklahoma city. I think my stuff is in section 4, but maybe section 5 of that same 15N2W. my paperwork is in my momma’s safe i will check when i go over there next. my cousin has asked around the oil patch people he knows about it but people are either keeping it a secret or they just dont know. i dont know if it is true about security guards but if it is i think that means probably it is a good oilwell. i hope so!

Catherine,

Have they started doing any drilling near you? I heard they were planning more well on the Logan, Noble, Payne line, but I haven’t seen any spud reports.

Washington and Alaska have some of the best smoked salmon and I love the gooseberry pie on the island. But, this time of year you don’t get a lot of choices.

This story about Phillips and Mississippi Lime should make Logan County folks happy. There is a market for that what Osage/Slawson and other folks are doing.

devon has the gas tied into the pipeline now, they had oil production but the pump sanded in once and devon had to replace the pump, and choke it down some, the gas is about 300,000 per day,not sure on oil
