Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Lee,

Is Woodward Co starting to do some drilling that the Chinese are buying these motel? Sounds like they are slowing buying us out.

I know the wind turbine companies are all foreign owned.

Virgina

The drilling has already been done. The motels are for the Chinese to live in while operating thier oil and gas operations taken from Chesapeake.

Six months ago the Chinese bought three old motels in Woodward to remodel .They are taking over operations of many area Chesapeake wells which they are invested in.Chesapeake did not meet their retutrn on investment terms and are losing control of the wells. It was only a matter of time, and we will see more to come .

Lee,

Do you know of any companies that are leasing in S. Woodward Co? My husband has a few hundred acres that isn’t leased. I didn’t realize they had done lots of drilling in that area.

Virginia

Dont know about south of woodward but east of town clear to Fairveiw has had large activaty for several years drilled by Chesapeake and many others.

The Blue Dolphine in question is from Edmond Oklahoma.

Reading all this is making my head seriously ache! They want want what we have and we’re just handing it all over to them!

Can anyone recommend a site where I can find out where wells are producing in the county? I have found relatives that have signed leases of which I have rights in, but haven’t signed anything. I have a feeling that I’m missing out on some cash.

do you think this is too far south and east for a better offer

Thomas,

Wish I could help you on finding a good map, the only place I know of you purchases the maps and they are never up to date and very expensive.

If it was me, I would go to the County clerk office or go on line to:

www.okcountyrecords.com

You are in luck as Logan is on this site. Then put your legals in and check and see if any of your relation leases have been recorded. You may have to pay a month or so, about $10 to look at the orginal filing, but you can see if anything has been file free. I can’t remember what the printing cost is, I think it’s about $2. Seems each county has a different price. Then write the company and ask if they plan on leasing your share?

db Sounds like to me that they’re trying to rob you blind, but then again, I know things seems to be slower in T15N, however, North of you things are beginning to get hot, so I would certainly, take your time before agreeing to that amount. You might want to check out the pooling order in OCC on date(s) 06/11/12 or 06/10/12 by Whitestone Oil to see what that says in S11 15N 03W and keep an eye out to see if there’s anything else coming up. They always listing the hearings in advance, for the following week, so check it out! Hang in there!!

i have 120 acres in 11-15n-2w, was offered $75, 3/16…3 YEARS AND 3YEAR OPTION,what are your thoughts on this offer

D B,

3 year extension is too long. I wouldn’t give any extension. And in today’s market, $75 is way to cheap. If you can’t find anyone to give you more, then ask for 20% instead of 3/16 and no extension.

Clint, Thanks for pulling up the dockets for next week. It’s nice to know a little what some of these Oil Co’s. are doing. I found that Devon has applied for spacing in yet another adjacent section near the section my minerals are in, so they’re encircling us. So far to date, that makes four spacing orders Devons going for recently! Thanks again!!

Has there been any activity in Sec. 23-17N-2W? I have an interest there but I’m not hearing anything about leases.

not much yet

I recently received two offers to purchase. One in particular offered $1450. per acre with a back offer of an additional $100. added to beat any other offer I’ve received. The other company didn’t state a dollar amount instead, just wanted me to contact them!

Also, Devon filed an application for spacing 22-19N-3W

Mineral Joe, I have no idea what they think they’re doing! Strange offer, but I guess they get some who will bite!

I am offering a lot more than $1450, you think they’d top what I am offering, probably not. If they’d top any other offer why wouldn’t they just send you their top offer to begin with.

Don Ayres, you can contact Greg Taft at gtaft@moncrieffoilproperties.com to see if he’s interested. He’s really good to work with!
