I own property in south McClain county(28-5N-1W) near Garvin county. I have been offered $10 acre for a 3-D geophysical survey. I know some areas are paying $15-$25 but don’t know where these are. Does anyone know what I can expect in my area.
Jason…Maybe he stole the car! lol
HaHa! Yes Richard, about that sign you saw in front of the church. I saw a bumper sticker on the back of this guy’s car when we were sitting at the light. It said, “Honk if you love jesus”, so i honk twice and the guy flips me off.
We didn’t have any depth clauses on ours. Maybe we could have done better, maybe not. My thinking was maybe they started drilling ours first because we were easy. Whatever gets it done and whatever gets you a good check, I’m fer it! lol My mother in law has a tiny bit of royalty in 20 2n,3w in Garvin and it was leased by Newfield (force pooled I believe but I’m not sure) and they were told they intended to drill but I haven’t heard of anything on it yet. Guess I need to make a trip over that way but when I go through south from Lindsay I usually head west toward Duncan and that’s to the east. If she had more than a third of 1 1/2 acres I’d be a little more motivated. She didn’t even know she owned it until Newfield wrote them and let them know they wanted to lease.
In fact, I would like to meet you out there and tour the digging w/your guidance. Maybe we could correlate a meeting-reckon?
Linda, Bob and Katie do have a piece of it, I’m almost sure I saw their name of the list of respondents. Good people I have known them since I was born. My cousins who lived not far from beautiful downtown Foster and I used to ride our horses to the store/post office for a Dr Pepper w/peanuts dumped in when we were quite young. Miss those days.
Rick, I’m impressed w/your running, I should be so industrious. Keep up the good work!
You would not be impressed if you saw it! I’m old, fat, and slow so finishing is my primary goal!! lol
Linda, are you saying you are leased with Apache? And they are drilling? Where is that? Their offer to us in sec 08-2N-3W was for $1,000 NMA bonus & 3/16ths royalty for 3 years. I was in the process of developing a response to them when we got the news they canceled the offer. We haven’t heard anything since but if you know they are drilling there I need to contact them.
Sandra,
7-3N-4W was pooled in May, but the pooling was modified in August. Permit was issued and it was spud on 8/7/2013.
Just guessing, but if they did not run into scheduling issues, it should have been completed (or near completion) by now.
Linda, Striker Land Services out of OK City contacted us on behalf of Apache, in August. Their # is 405-843-4008.
Thanks Pam! Was their offer good?
Linda, you probably read in Wednesday’s Oklahoman the intent to drill the Studdard 1H-20x well. Hutch told me SL was in 17 w/perfs in 20 & 29, split 50/50 between the two. I know on the Williams well by the time it made the Okahoman they had been drilling for a couple of weeks. If you’re in the neighborhood you might see a rig on 17. As I moved to Wynnewood about 8 months ago I drive down the highway going to Tilley Trucking where David works about once a week for one reason or another and I thought I saw I rig E of where the Williams was @ one time, so they may have already spudded in. Thought I might drive out there in the next day or two to see what I could see. If you go before me would you let me know, cause it’s coming about any day if not already?
I’d say 10-12 is pretty conservative and a good target. Hopefully they will get the drilling done and completed by the end of October.
I’ve been pretty busy on some projects and have been out of town some. Plus running these 1/2 marathons have kept me busy. I finished number 11 for the year this morning (In Dayton Ohio). I get a bit of a break, but we have 6 on schedule for October.
OK…whoever has told me (about a dozen times) who the landpeople leasing for Apache are and how to get a hold of them please post it again. This time I’m going to write it down. Someone ask me to post the numbers I promised of the landpeople that lease for the majors yesterday and I had to leave home for a few hours and didn’t get that done. Sorry about that!
We dealt with Brandon Author w/ Jackfork Land, LLC who leased for Continental and his number is 405-535-7402 Their office is in NW OKC.
And Charles Doggett w/Energy Lease Account LLC leased ours for Newfield. They office in Norman, Ok. and their number is 405-321-2370.
I’ve forgotten which forum I was on that needed this info. so I’m reposting on the three or four I’m on. Sorry if you have to read it multiple times.
Hi. It has been a long time since I have checked in with this group. We have rights in Sec 07, 03N and 04 W - and leased to Marathon around April/May. Any update on activity there? Thank you!
Yea, Vicki, that sounds like a plan. I’ll email you on the friend’s site to get it together.
Guess if it’s the Studdard that it will be on Bob Studdard’s place. Hope he’s got himself a little piece of it (royalty wise).
The well in Section 8, 2n,3w was drilled by Triad. Are you all saying there is another well in that section by Newfield? A couple months ago, Apache Offered to lease my acres in Section 8, but when they found Triad was there, they withdrew the offer to lease.
Pam…I don’t know if you are talking to me or another Linda that is on here but I don’t have any royalty in 2n,3w. My mother in law has that tiny bit in 20 2n,3w and some more in Garvin Co about 4n,3w out around the Hughes Community. She has actually signed it all over to her kids except that in 20 2n,3w and the only reason she didn’t give them that was because she didn’t know she had it until they (Newfield) wrote her several months ago wanting to lease it. Most of ours is in Stephens Co. 2n,4w and we only have a few acres in Sections 16,29 and 34 there.
Rich…you’re the one that ask about the H&P rig over by Fuqua just south of the Bear Creek Cemetary aren’t you? Well, tonight it was still up there as we made a quick trip to Duncan.
The rig on Claudine (Sec. 29, 2n,4w) was still up but I believe the rig on the Yandell may be gone and also the Casados rigs may all be gone. Vicki and I may be going to go check it out tomorrow or the next day and I’ll let you know for sure.
The flare was still going (burning) on the Sublette and there were still two Cactus rig signs on the highway for rigs on that road going west of there.
And, later, the rest of the story!!!
