“If it is HBP, I have never, in 40 years, received any revenue.”
That’s no guarantee it is not HBP. If an old lease covered more than your tract, and there is production on the lease from the other tract, your minerals could be HBP without any revenue to you.
Frank, do you remember who was putting the application to drill on those?
Anyone know if any drilling is planned in or around section 29 4n 3w in Garvin County? We get a couple of tiny checks off of some old vertical wells so we probably wouldn’t be notified about any proposed drilling until it is drilled and completed.
MUH is “multi-unit horizontal well.” The well for Sec 17 & 20 4n 3w is an example of a MUH.
Rimrock is currently proposing a well for Sec 17 & 20 4n 3w.
Sec’s 21, 28, and 30 also have recent OCC applications in 4N 3W, but no MUH well applications.
There is a well just north of the Rush Creek Welding Co. on highway 76 south of Lindsay that they are either fracking or getting ready to do so. All the frack tanks and trucks lined up. Also there are two rigs (both with a lot of pipe in the derrick) about a mile south of that Rush Creek Welding Co. and west of the highway about 1 mile or two. I really think more like two miles west. One is straight west of the other.
The large location is looking ready for drilling to start on this land about 4 miles south of Lindsay on highway 76 and then a mile west on what people call the Garvin County Paint Rd. but no rigs have been moved in yet. Believe that to be in section 27 4n4w in Garvin Co.
Also they have been working day and night (with light plants at night) to get the well ready to frack on the one in that same section 27 4n4w which some one said was starting there about 1/4 south of the new REC complex and running north across a couple of sections.
So Frank are you saying the well applications are not for horizontal well or just not multi unit horizontals? That’s getting pretty close to where I want them to drill. Thanks for the info. guys and gals!
That should read 1/4 MILE south of the new REC…
As best as I can recall the applications were filed by Rimrock and Casillas.
As to whether the “well applications are … for horizontal well or … multi unit horizontals” you should look at the various applications. They are not OCC Form 1000s, so I wouldn’t call them “well applications” but they suggest preparations to drill more wells.
Yes Lynden…I knew yours was in Sec. 28 which is the section we live in but the location is on the very SW corner of section 27 4n 4w if the sections run true with the roads. I’m not sure this road we live on is a section line road or not. On Garvin Co. paint road if the section line road going north and south is at the top of the hill before you get to our road then I guess the new location could be in section 28 instead of 27. Those friend of ours have some of the wells that are being drilled from section 21 3n4w which is of course south and west of us a few miles.
Linda, I am real interested in that large location that you referenced as being a mile west on Garvin County Paint Rd. Less than a mile is section 27 and more than a mile is section 28 where my mineral rights are.
Sheridan production has filed for a 1,280 acre drilling and spacing unit for 21 and 28 in the Sycamore.
I believe the two rigs together are in Section 21 3N,4W. Dicksion wells from looking at the Baker Hughs interactive rig count.
Light plants still running nights on the well on Section 27 4n 4w up by highway 76 just south of the new REC complex. Guess they are still getting it ready to frack if they are not already fracking it.
We can still see a rig off in the distance SW of our house. Thinking that could be some in 3n 4w but could possibly be in 4n 4w or maybe even 3n 5w. Haven’t driven over in that area lately.
Thanks Linda, after looking at Google maps I would say that 3020 road is the section line between 27 and 28. Thanks again.
The well to the southwest should be on the north edge of 32 drilling into 29. They may be drilling the second of three proposed for 29. One is a multi section to whatever is north of 29.
Thomas, if it is an old lease before 1979 you can be held by production and not be receiving any royalties from it. Example: You have minerals in Sections 3 and 4 and they were all put on the same lease, but they only drilled in Section 4. Your minerals in Section 3 would still be held by the production in Section 4. You are welcome to post a legal description/name it is held in and we can try to help. You can also friend me and send it. I live in Garvin County.
Walck814–maybe my response was too terse, and there is nothing wrong with asking a question. Hopefully the responses will help you differentiate between business advice and legal advice–that was my point. I suspect Darla will decline if you ask her for legal advice, unless she is a lawyer.
Thank you everyone for your interest in helping me . It is good to know there are lots of good people out there , makes the heart happy.
