I gave the directions again at the bottom of my last post because I was so confusing when I wrote them the first time. Sorry!
Chrisā¦thanks for that! Actually we found the rigs and found the best way to go especially to those who know where the old Grasslands Restaurant (turn west after traveling down 76 south of Lindsay for about 7 miles) was is to go past that old restaurant (which sets on section 16 3n4w) to the next road that turns left. As you so south section 21 is on your left and you will soon come to the two rigs that on the north edge of 21 going horizontal north across 16 and 9 for the new 8 Hollinsworth wells. Iāve been told that the Hollinsworth #6 well has been spudded (on the north edge of 16 but only going to be perforated in 9) but it has not been completed. Our guess it will be completed when they complete all the rest of them. To my understanding the Hollinsworth #1 is completed and owners in it have been receiving their money for at least a couple of years now. Iām supposing now that the two rigs up are for the Hollinsworth #2 and number 8.
From the intersection of 19 and 76 highway in Lindsay go approx. 7 miles south on 76 highway to the paved road that goes west and wind around for about 2 miles past the old grasslands restaurant (a faded blue metal building) to the next road south. There is a rig sign on that intersection for one of the rigs and after you go south just a little south you will see the other rig sign.
Correction the number one was as you said completed in 2014 so I guess that was 3 not 2 years ago.
Just looked on the link below you have called āSpudā and Iām not understanding why it has section 21 on it. Why and how could they drill on section 21 and go across 16 if they were only perforating in 9. The map I saw with the papers my friend had on the new 8 wells to be drilled showed the pad for the number 6 well to be on the north side of 16. HUH???
The papers my friend had with the map attached were for 8 new wells to be drilled. It named the Holingsworth 2-5 and 7-10. And like I said when I looked at the map to find out why number 6 wasnāt listed it looked as if it had already been spudded and ran only across 9 so seems someone either messed up on the papers or the map or Iām messed up which is probably the case! lol
My friend also didnāt get any papers on the drilling of number 6 Holingsworth so when I saw the map that made since if it only went through section 9 because he only owns in 16 3n4w. But then another friend that only owns in section 9 said they didnāt receive any papers on the drilling of number 6 either. They were HBP in 9 but I still figured she would receive papers for spacing, etc. but nothing.
Linda, although I have not spoken to anyone in the field, my understanding is that #2 through #8, including the #6 have the rigs on section 21-3N-4W. They are in the process of drilling all of #2 through #6, two of them (Iām not sure which) are in process now. Each of the wells is planned to drill all the way through 16-3N-4W and to the north end of 9-3N-4W. The #1 was completed in October 2014 but is only in 16-3N-4W, it does not extend into 9-3N-4W. All of the HOLINSWORTH are Woodford wells. Newfield has also pooled the Springer in this section expiring just after Christmas 2017, but no activity to date that I am aware of.
The spud notice for the #6 is below. If you want to see all of the notices go to OCCEWEB, enter HOLINSWORTH in the well name and click search.
If you make the trek out there again, please post some pictures!
Chrisā¦I thought the Hollinsworth #6 was drilled from the north edge of 16 and went north only across Section 9. I understand they spudded (donāt know if rig is off of it yet) but not completed it. We didnāt go to the north edge of 16 to check it out so I donāt know if there was a rig there or not but there were two rigs on the north side of 21 that I believe someone said were for well #2 and #8. Yes, if we go back over I will get some pictures.
Iām so confused now because I looked at the permit to drill and it names both sections 9 and 16 as being in on the Holingsworth well #6 with each getting 50% but the map I saw showed it only going across 9 and the description only has 9 on it. Someone please explain.
typoās = but are not limited to the spelling of Holinsworth. lol
Chrisā¦I believe the wells numbers 2-5 and numbers 7-10 will all be drilled from the north edge of 21 so they can get all of sections 9 and 16. Yes, the Hollingsworth #1 was drilled from north side of 21 also and it was my understanding it only went across 16. It was drilled a couple of years ago and royalty owners have already been getting checks off of it for a while now.
Here is the plat for the Holinsworth #6 (from the form 1000 on OCCEWEB): 1DD583AF.pdf ā drilled from 21, through 16 and ending in 9.
Pad for the 2014 Holinsworth #1 is in 16-3N-4W and the lateral is entirely within 16, you can see the pad in the image I posted earlier. The specifics are in its completion report online (see link to OCCEWEB I posted earlier).
7 additional Holinsworth wells (#2 through #8) are in the process of being drilled now; spud reports for all of them have been filed. The paperwork I see says they all drilled from 21 and went north through 16 and then 9.
No current activity on the #9 or #10 that I am aware of ā they were included in the multi-unit notice but not in anything Iāve seen after that.
Linda,
Back to the friend that was perhaps missing pooling moneyā¦Canāt remember which county. Go on the OCC website and look under the MOEA area. Any lost minerals owners are supposed to be there. The money eventually ends up with the state, but that is a good place to start looking.
Also look at the OK Treasurerās office for missing money. Donāt use any of the services as they charge a percentage.
Bobā¦are the four wells supposed to be deep horizonals? They havenāt been putting pumping units on any of them that I have seen but you probably know more about that than I. They have been getting enough gas with them to get the oil pushed out while they are new anyway.
Visited Garvin County on Friday. Not nearly the oil field service traffic when I last was there, when oil was over $100 per barrel, but still pretty busy. The drill site for Marathonās four wells on the south border of 4N 4W, section 31 was active. The drilling rig is gone, one visible āChristmas Treeā, several storage tanks, no pumps yet. First well was spud Feb 13, so it will be a couple of months before royalty owners hear anything from Marathon.
Yes, it is a two section deal, 31 up into 30. You are right, they apparently donāt need the pumps.
Thanks Mā¦didnāt find them there.
Karla, It was not a horizontal well, just a vertical well. Injector status
NE PURDY SPRINGER SAND UNIT A Q-20. Looks like they turned a former producing well into an injector. No royalty check but it is probably holding your lease. You can call them and find out.
I see the new Antero 1-7-6-WXH. Must have posted it since I looked earlier today or my coffee hadnāt kicked in yetā¦good news for you!
Bobā¦usually at least one of the tanks in a tank battery around here are for the salt water that comes out of the well and the others for the oil. The water one is usually a darker tan than the others if they are tan. Some are green with the rest silver (according to what company as they usually have their own colors). A lot of Newfieldās are tan with darker tan or brown water tank. Continental usually has silver and a green water tank. Iām sure there are exceptions to these colors but they nearly all have a different color for the water tank or tanks. Iām probably telling you something you already know but it was something my husband told me when I first started getting interested in the wells being drilled around here so I thought some others might not know.
Karla Are you part of the NE PURDY SPRING SAND UNIT A?
Merit drilled a well in 7 in 2015. Looks like Merit is the operator. You need to contact them. You may be held by the unit agreement, but see what they say. I donāt see any new permits fo 7-3N-3W. I see a Casillas permit in 17-3N-3W
