Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Ron he said his minerals are in 3n4w not 4n4w. Is that what you meant or are we talking about different wells? What are the names of the new wells? Do you know that?

Linda I am sorry it should have been 3n-4w. David It will be a multi-unit under both sections 16 & 9 drilled from 21. Production will be from 16 & 9.

Ron - can you explain what you mean by “section 21 under 16 & 9 -4n-4w. They are going to drill 9 Woodford & 1 Springer.” I own some wells in 21 4N 4W and was offered what other people thought was too low by Echo. Holding on, but sis-in-law decided to sell her half. Thanks.

David, did you see where Ron meant 3n4w and not 4n4w?

That’s awesome!!

The map has three pads in 21-3B-4W with two wells drilling from two of them and three from the eastern one.

Holinsworth 2H-9X through 8H-9W. The permits are all listed in 21.

Linda, just hit the “add a discussion” link just above here to start one. I believe the one I created was in Stephens Co.

No wonder our friend and accountant got such a good offer to purchase his royalty for $15,000 an acre for his sec. 16 3n4w. Looks like they may be getting 9 more new wells to make 10 for Newfield in that section. He got papers for the Hollingsworth wells #2-10.

There is the Hollingsworth #1 and then there is an older well owned by Sharadon (sp.?) when was a vertical well drilled I believed he said in the 70’s. Now with 9 more Hollingsworths they will be chopping tall cotton! So tickled for him.

Newfield is kicking butt, as usual CLR lagging

Well, just received the papers the friend sent which named the new Hollingsworth wells and for some reason they skipped the number 6 well and just names the other 8 in numbers 2-10. Anyone know why they would do this or is it just a misprint on his papers?

Now reading they are saying there will be 8 more Hollingsworth wells and that the #1 and #6 already exist???

Yes, Hutch CLR seem to be dragging their feet. They are the ones who had our section 34 leased and leased again but Newfield is the one who drilled the first well on it. I was wondering if since Newfield only drilled that 700 feet in section 34 can CR still go in there and drill any wells or is it all held for Newfield to drill on now?

Sandra, I expect that 17-3N-4W will eventually get their set of wells. 16 just got eight new Holinsworth wells. 13 is pending on increased density for seven new Ferguson wells, 23 & 26 has seven new Tina wells, so busy bees.

Newfield is more active in this area right now. Continental has 17 and they are more focused in Blaine county right now, but pay is in the ground and not going anywhere, so hang tight until they get around to it or someone buys them out and does it instead.

Here is the Garvin road map with the sections on it. Garvin%20County%20Map.pdf

I believe I’m seeing where the Hollingsworth was only drilled through section 9 and not on through 16 so that would be the reason our friend didn’t get papers on that one.

Probably held with the Mark well even though it is tiny.

Any chance us poor folks over in 17 3n4w can even hope for any participation in these wells? We keep getting offers to buy the rights, around 15K an acre last I checked. Seems like since the well lines run N-South we are out of the loop. Just wondering. Thanks all for the conversation and updates.

Does anyone know if there is a road that one might take north for 3 miles after they go west off of highway 76 2 miles on the Garvin/Stephen’s Co road? Still trying to find out exactly how to drive over to the Hollingsworth wells they are drilling now. OR if not is there a road that goes straight north of east edge of 16 2n4w north of highway 29 through the County Line Road (Stephens/Garvin Co) road and on north for 3 more miles to the east edge of sec. 16 3n4w? Clear as mud? Still trying to figure how to get to the rigs which are drilling the new Hollingsworth wells. It would help if I just knew the numbers of the rigs (I suppose owned by Cactus) that I might look for signs along highway 29 or highway 76.

Linda, here is a picture showing the sections with the Holinsworth wells, the pads should be on the very south end of the rectangle – not the easiest spot to get to but this should give you a good idea how to get there off of 19.

My understanding is that they are on site with two rigs drilling with plans to drill #2 - #8. I have notices in hand for those. There was some initial noticing for #9 & #10 I never saw final notices for those so I do not believe they are drilling those. Newfield also pooled the Springer in this section - I would have thought they will drill that while the rigs were on location but I have not seen any notices for those.
