Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Bob, I only see evidence for one Somers well in 31 and 30 4N, 4W in the OCC well data base. Do you have more information?

If you did not get a shut in payment in a year and 90 days from the shut in, then you need to call them and ask what is holding your lease. If you are already leased, you will not get pooling info, but you should get spacing (if needed), horizontal applications, etc.

No more than what I saw. The photo I took showed three fair sized storage tanks but only one “tree” was visible from the road about 300 yards from the activity. Maybe the results from the first well didn’t justify the expense of three more.

Linda, I reviewed the photos of Marathon’s 4N 4W Sections 31 & 30 drill site and all three of the storage tanks were beige/tan in color. Don’t know what that means.

Just received copies of application for increased density for 03 03n 04w and 10 03n 04w. Marathon drilled the Eubank well pad in section 10 in to section 3. Hopefully additional wells will be productive.

Well Bob…sometimes they just put a sticker on a tank which shows it’s for water. I suppose if the well doesn’t make any salt water they might not need one but I haven’t heard of any wells around here that doesn’t make any. I don’t know. Are the tanks the very large ones? I’ve noticed some of the wells don’t have as many tanks but the ones they have are larger than some others elsewhere.

The Eubank completed over a year ago and started paying in October. Haven’t seen a map yet showing where the drill pads will be yet. They are applying for 7 separate multiunit horizontal wells. The Eubank pad and battery tanks are in Section 10 and end point is in Section 3. They split at 47/53 on perforations. Looking forward to seeing a map showing all the shenanigans. I own 160 acre farm in NW section 3 plus have minerals in section 3 and 10.

Oh my gosh…my friend is so excited to hear your news Jackie! She’s the one I talked about on here that her step dad has minerals in section 9 also so they are getting 8 more there and now seven more proposed in 10!!! I feel like the Lord is blessing them because they are such good people, hard workers and they treat everyone so good. My only concern now is that the market may be getting flooded and the price of oil may continue to drop. Hopefully not!

Jackie…drilled a well or are going to drill a well in section 3 and 10? Are they going to perforate and product from both sections?

Congratulations Jackie, that is really good news.

I don’t know if they are large, medium or small. They appear to be the same size. I just hope they are all for oil!

The rigs I mentioned below are Cactus rigs number 165 and 166 but the middle one doesn’t have a sign on it yet. There looks to be only about 100-150 yards between them all. Also on the other side of the one on the east it looked like they were doing some dirt work moving the really black sooty looking dirt but I just couldn’t see very well…only the top part of the backhoe machine. Don’t know if they were building another location or just moving the black shavings of the stuff coming out of the well. Just couldn’t see for all the stuff between me and it.

Ok just for you owners of minerals for the new Hollinsworth’s wells here are the THREE rigs that are now up on the north edge of section 21 3n4w going across section 16 and section 9. MERRY CHRISTMAS! lol

Increased density means more wells, so depending upon the reservoir, you get about as much for each new well as the first well gave you or maybe better with improving technology. They can vary slightly, but generally excellent news for royalty owners.

Jackie…Yes, I bet they would like to have that section for $10,000. an acre with all those new wells coming. lol Thanks for sharing. Always like to hear of offers anywhere.

Ms Barnes: I have an offer to lease my small portion of 360 acres in sections 25 and 26 of 1N-2W of Garvin Co. I am 85 and have 31 other small mineral acerages in Oklahoma and Texas including one in Stephens county that was drilled in Jan. of this year. This is the first horizontal well lease I have been offered. I live in New Mexico and have no one to turn to for mineral lease advice I do not understand most of the two pages plus one page of exhibits that I was sent to sign. I am of the opinion that the more legal words in a document mean the fewer my rights bestowed in that document. Most of my very old vertical well leases are less than a page and I can almost understand the language. Could I e-mail you a scanned copy of the lease and have you indicate the extent of the rights I may be given up with this lease. Don Fry

Don, Be glad to. I just sent you a friend request. We can work from there.

Hello all, Just FYI I received an offer from Caliber today for my rights in Section 21, 4N,4W. Not only did they get the acreage wrong (8 acres less than I own), but they offered close to $1k less per acre than my sister-in-law got from Echo late last year. She took the offer because of health problems. I’m holding because Tom speculated way more because of Springer drilling. Just an alert for others who might be hearing from them.

Does anyone have any information on the “Purdy Utilization Agreement”? I am trying to see who was leased and who was pooled?

Jonni, That sort of information will not be in the Unitization agreement. You will only see a tract participation factor based on what the acreage of each tract was back in the “day” compared to the whole rollup of the unit itself which is thousands of acres. You can find the Unitization agreements on the OCC website. You will need to know which reservoir you are in and which s-t-r as you can look it up several ways. Start with the word PURDY and be ready to scroll through quite a bit. The various lines have legals on them which helps. You will see the Plan of Unitization eventually be clicking on all of them. Some are the OCC orders and the big one is the plan with the tracts and the maps. Just takes time to go through all of them.

You can also type in your Legal using leading zeroes to narrow down the search.

I am in that unit as well and it is pretty hairy to get all the parts straight.
