Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Vicki, do you have a large number of net mineral acres? I was told that since I have such a small amount (16) of nma, they wouldn’t negotiate terms but just let me be pooled.

Vicki, Thank you

Linda, I feel sure that is it from the way you described where it sits. Especially now that I know they spud. Sounds like it’s on the north side of Hwy 29. May have to take a drive out that way. Is it visible from the hwy?

Yelp!

Jennifer, I received that same fear letter this week. I wrote back and gave them a small piece of my mind telling them that I was not interested in their offer and that I thought its tone and misrepresentation were quite disappointing. Why would anyone want to do business with a company like that.

Don, Glad the offers are going up. FYI, someone was offered $1400 3/16 in sec 31. But you are closer to a big fault and that could be the reason yours are a bit lower.

Don, I leased in 2N3W a couple days ago with Jackfork and they called me today to lease in sec 6 1N3W that expires in March. I told her the only way I would lease this early is if they offered me the same amt I just got in 2/3 which was $3k with 1/5. Said they would check into it and call me back Monday.

Room To Drill

I wonder how the WSJ arrived at this SCOOP number.

Learned yesterday that the DEQ is looking into tightening regulations or shutting down the Eagle Ford. Guess it is in a tight area and the pollution is awful.

This was included in the “fear” letter I recieved last week trying to convince folks to sell. Funny- many of the wells in our area are classified as gas wells and note “select oil fields and doesn’t include drilling for gas or other petroleum liquids”. I guess you can make anything look like you want it to look.

I apologize on how my comment looks. When I typed it, it seemed OK.

Is there a way of editing it after posted?

I have minerals in Sec 29 & 30, 2N2W. I reported here in April that I received an offer of $250 bonus & 3/16ths for three years. Since then

I have been offered $150 and $300, 3/16ths from two other companies.

This week I have been offered $550 + 3/16ths by Ceja which was the one who offered the original $250. If you look on OKCountyrecords.com and search CEJA, you will find they have done almost all of the leasing in my area. I am guessing they got most of it at the $250 price. It is good that the offers are going up. I have held out because of the great advice I have gotten from Martha B. and others. It looks like the action may be

heading my way. The information from this forum is priceless. Thanks to all who contribute.

Don, you can’t edit but you can click the x in upper right corner to delete and re-type.

haha…not really Hutch…someone on here gave me that information. Seems like it might have been Rick. I’m far from computer literate but have picked up a lot of good advice on here. And you know me I get lots of practice correcting mistakes! lol

Don…I learned you can also turn your post blue and copy and paste it into this new blank comment space and correct it and click the “add comment” again. After I see that I have it pasted to this blank I click on the X on the upper right hand corner to delete my last post. This works well if the last post isn’t a long book which is what I usually write~then sometimes it’s a problem to get it all blued out. Hope this helps.

I just corrected the copy and paste way because of my frequent mistakes. lol

Linda, I didn’t think of that. You are becoming a real computer geek!

Received an offer today from Expro Minerals to purchase in 19 2N3W for $15k per acre. That is almost double the top amount I have been offered to sell in any T/R I own mineral rights in. The highest amount was $8500 for 19. After reading offers tonight on Stephens forum, I am really wondering why all the high offers are coming out of the woodwork when the price of oil is down so much. I have to say, I am encouraged that the sky may not be falling.

Vicki, opportunists trying to catch people while they are scared. Like Rick has said sometimes those offers have some ifs, ands and buts.

Thanks, Ron … Is there anything in S19-3N-4W? Is the rig 1/2 mile west of Lang1-20H in S20 or S19?
