Over a period of more than a year, we got offers increasing from $7,500 to $25,000 per acre for our acreage in Section 20, Township 3 North, Range 4 West. Currently, the Lang 1-20H is producing there, a good well. Apparently, the prospective buyer was selling less productive minerals to invest more in the SCOOP. In early October 2014, there was another rig about half a mile west of the Lang. Anyone know what that one is? We hear Continental Resources is planning to drill several more wells nearby. Any recent activity in Sections 20 and 21, Township 3 North, Range 4 West?
Mike, there is a new nice Woodford well in Section 16, Township 3 North, Range 4 West, and they just filed for a Springer pooling there. Section 21 also has a nice Woodford and a nice Springer. Section 18 has a Woodford, and they are starting five more wells there in Woodford.
Thanks, Ron… Warden1-20H, Spud Oct 4, 2014.
I have been out of pocket for a while and would like to know if anyone has any info on any activity in Section 23, Township 3 North, Range 4 West, Garvin County. On November 17, 2014, I received an offer to “buy” our rights from Oklahoma Unconventional LLC for $9,500.00 per acre. They also said they would beat any other offer we might have. Since this area was lumped into a 640-acre tract and the offers keep coming in, I wonder if any drilling has taken place yet?
Jim,
The Ferguson 1H-14X in Section 14, Township 3 North, Range 4 West was spud in mid-September, which includes Section 23. I don’t see a completion report or that a production unit number has been issued yet. Your offer is a good sign it should be a successful well.
Wondering about this entry on OCCEweb, it might mean something to me, in Section 17 Township 3N Range 4W where there is a flurry of activity. Anybody know anything? (New permit to drill) There is a big new pad in the Northwest corner of 17, and I wonder if it is being used yet, but I think this permit is in the Southwest part of the section, contiguous with Section 20 to the south.
I, too, am really wondering about this per barrel price point we are at now, seems the Saudis want to squeeze us out if possible, quite a risky move it would seem.
I definitely am interested in leasing 252.33 acres located in Garvin County, Section 19, Township 4, North Range 2 East of the IM.
I own the mineral rights or royalties on 252.33 acres in Garvin County - legal Section 19 Township 4 North Range 2 East. I might even be interested in selling 50 acres of the royalties.

From CLR most recent presentation 12/3: Springer wells may still have a decent return on investment, Woodford Condensate Fairway with multiunit wells may also still have a rate return where Woodford oil cannot make money in this price environment.

Completed well cost: $9.7 million
ROR: 86% at $80/$3.50 prices

Far from Guinness. But, there is an international club of runners that do the same thing. It has criteria 9 different levels based on achievement. There are just under 10,000 members and about 65 of us have reached the highest level. Many are far more aggressive in number of runs (and much faster) than I am. We focused on meeting the criteria and devoted the time, money, and vacation time to meet the goal. Now for a small breather to meet some more goals! ![]()
Maybe you should just drink a Guinness!
Yeah. That’s it. Mike, you seem to have an interest in this well. Any idea if they would be frac’ing right now?
Vivki … Don’t know. I’m in San Mateo, CA now - grew up in Chickasha. I’m interested in activity in this part of Garvin County - we have a well, Lang1-20H, in S20-3N-4W. I drove there in early October to see the landscape, down 76 from Lindsay…
Rick - are you running the Dallas marathon?
Linda, if it is the Ferguson well in 3N4W that is down in the Purdy area, then that might be the well they are talking about (??). I don’t know much about that well, but assumed that it is on Christine Parr Ferguson’s place. I saw where they were drilling/drilled a Ferguson well in that area, but I have no interest in it and haven’t kept up with the “diggin”. I would be willing to bet that it’s the well they were talking about. Not even sure what sections are involved. I know Rick made a reference to that well a few days ago on the forum. Her place is on the East side of 74. You probably know where it is. Didn’t you go to school with BT & Jana?
Linda, I referred to the highway as 74 and it is in fact 76 that runs south out of Lindsay, right? I’ve always confused 74 and 76. 74 runs North out of Elmore to Purcell, or is it vice versa?
Jennifer,
It just has never worked out for me to run in that particular one. I’ve run in 8-10 events in the DFW area but this year focused on different states. I ended up running half marathons in 30 states in a little under 11 months. I’m going to try to pick up some of the remaining states to complete all 50 next year but at a much less aggressive pace. I’m sure I’ll end up running a few in Dallas to fill in. I’ve got Alabama and Mississippi booked on the same weekend in early January. Oregon booked in May and my eye on a few more as I can firm up other things in my schedule for the year.
Encouraging if it’s not overly optimistic
