Who was it from? We got an offer in 33-1N-1W of $1000/nma at 1/4.

John, you will probably get some good advice from others on the forum but that sounds a little low to me. Granted, you are a little on the East side of the āactionā. I think most people on the forum would tell you itās best to wait for forced pooling, but it could be longer than your typical 3 yr lease term before drilling gets heavy in that area, so if you took a lease bonus now, you would get cash up front with the possibility your lease would expire and then you could possibly re-lease and get money again. Iām sure others will offer advice if you keep checking back to read posts in response to your question. This is a great place to learn!
Laura, who offered the $1,000 and a 1/4? I am working on a deal with Echo in section 22 1n 1w
Gary: the Burch well located in the nw corner of sec 30 1n 1w was drilled north into and across the very west side of sec 19 1n 1w. Sec 24 1n 2w joins 19 1n 1w on the west. Would you consider this well one that has drilled the platform? They have just finished drilling this well and are laying down drill pipe tonight.
JTG, I have recently evaluated the township for a group. Read M Barnes as well. Barnes has confirmed that the geology along the western edge of the TWN is extremely complex with formations stacked like pancakes and near the rim of the Anadarko Basin while the middle of the township (22,23, 24,) are up on a platform like one big sheet cake.
Vickiās comments are more appropriate for the middle of the township this year but not Section 22. Continental has applied for some horizontal wells
east of 22 which is reason to hold off leasing until Continental gets a permit and has a chance to drill a well on the platform. At least that is my opinion and recommendation to clients.
Laura is close to the rim of the Anadarko and much more prospective than 22 this month which is reflected in the different acreage prices.
Personally, I wouldnāt lease top anybody that hasnāt completed a horizontal well successfully within 6 miles of your land unless you just have few acres, then it wonāt make much difference in the short term. You can get a little bonus and hope something good happens. If you have more than 40 net acres you better get a good idea of what will happen to long term income if you take a cheap bonus now.
Thank you everyone for the input, especially Gary.
Does anyone have contact number for Freedom Oil and Gas?
Gary, thank you for sharing and adding your input. I have some minerals in sec 6 1N2W that are HBP with the Ferguson 10-6 and 11-6 that I still receive a little revenue on. So, are you saying since itās on the West side of the township that itās in a desirable location or are you saying the platform is more desirable?
Thanks Vicki What we are inquirying about is Sec 13 township 1n range 1 west in Garvin County. We were contacted by Terrelloil Company inquiring purchasing mineral rights. The prop in question was my Grandmotherās and given to her as a wedding present by her father. Never been there just pay the taxes when they come due. She told us to never sell and we never have, Grandma was a wise old lady. Part of the Jones family in Sulphur.
Forgot, also a speck in 21.
Jen, my interest is pretty small too so thinking about getting my feet wet with a WI. Glad to hear you got everything leased, time to sit back and relax for awhile?
Vicki, Iām slow just noticed āHatchā
Red Sky - Jeff Glenn470-2015
Lol, an old western with Jackie Gleason playing deputy to Beau. P mustāve taken Linda on a cruise for her birthday. I havenāt heard a peep from her in the last few days.
Actually I was wrong⦠It was $2000.00 for 3/16. Gleason Oil and Gas. 214-683-6420. Beau Justice.
Sounds like a T.V Western. Thereās a new Sheriff in town āBeau Justiceā.
I just spoke with Beau Justice. Thought he might help me figure Texas out. I still havenāt been able to figure Texas out yet. Gave me some good suggestions. At any rate, Beau seems to be very nice and professional.
Don,
You must be in the S/2 of 13 unless your family has income from the Hoxbar field in the N/2. Hold on. There are interesting things going on immediately to the south of 13. I agree that āGrandma was a wise old ladyā .
Don, Iām not real familiar with the activity in 1N1W but if you will keep checking back in, I feel sure you will receive input on what is going on in that area of GC, my guess would be before the day is over. Sounds like too sentimental of a place to sell. I feel sure someone is planning something in your area though, or you wouldnāt be getting offers to purchase. You must also own the surface if youāre paying taxes. Hang in there and someone will let you know if there is activity in your area. Are you currently leased? You should read back through the past postings if you havenāt already and you might find info that relates to your sec. Lots of good reading there.
