Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Karla, all the paperwork I got the other day doesn’t refer to it by name yet. Maybe after the hearing on the 30…? I think the Karla Vicki has a nice ring to it, don’t you? lol

So this explanation of the spud right in the extreme nw corner of section 20 means that the mineral owners in 20 will receive zip? This doesn’t sound promising for the big pad in the nw corner of my pooled section, 17 3N4W. I had been quite hopeful up until now…

Not sure that long one has a name yet. Maybe someone else has heard it if they have paperwork from the operator. Section 20 has the straight down portion of the well, so no perfs and no production.

Sandra, you will have to wait and see on the use of the pad. In some counties, they have one pad in a corner and go into the four sections around it. I see two wells coming from the pad in the far NE corner of 18-3N-4W. You have one well already in 17 more on the west third holding the section by HBP.

Martha, Do you know the name of the well that is going thru 17? So excited to see them drilling 17. Thanks

I’m sorry, Michael, your last sentence isn’t quite clear. HBP in which holding? And again, your info is so helpful!

(…assumed the name was Michael, oops.).

My land is in 17, so won’t be named after us. Darn, but it’s still early!

Sandra, The Davis Trust #1-7H goes from the pad in the far NE corner of 18-3N-4W into the NE corner of 7, so only one well when I zoomed in. Is this the pad you mean or is there another new one in the NW corner of 17? The Smith #1-8H goes from the far SE corner of 18 into the far NE corner of 18. The Hines #1-17H was drilled 1450’ from the west line and 170’ from the south line of Section 17. The production from this well holds all of the Woodford in section 17. Held by Production (HPB). So until this well dies, no more leasing for the Woodford (and maybe the Hunton and Miss if included in the pooling order) for 17. If other zones were not in the pooling or previously leased, then they are open for leasing.

(it’s Martha, not Michael, but that’s okay….

M Barnes,

Do I under understand correctly that the production from the Smith #1-8H will all be attributed to Sec, 18 - 3N - 4W? If so. is #1-8H the correct designation?

Thank you!

M. Barnes

I would appreciate any information that you could provide me about the Smith #1-18.

Thank you in advance.

OOPS, finger slip. It is Smith #1-18H. Sorry……

Martha , there is a new (six months or so?) big gravel pad right in the furthest nw corner of section 17, 3N 4W. So of course we are wondering what it will be used for. The section is pooled, and the Hines is already in production there. I was a little vague on the term HBP but now I understand, it makes me even more curious. A parking lot?

Sandra, does that “parking lot” have a wooden stake in the middle perhaps with a ribbon attached to the top. If so I’d say it’s probably going to be a well some day but if not~who knows?

They are putting up a lot of new compressor stations around these parts so it’s hard to tell when the dirt and gravel work is all that is done.

Bill, You can follow it yourself on a free site. It will link you to the permit, the spud date, and the completion. It is a quick link into the OCC site which is a little harder to maneuver into. You can type in the location or the well name. Use leading zeros. It will show the API # with a magnifying glass. Hit the glass and then I usually hit ALL IMAGES.

That well is already finished, so here is the direct link (if it works)

http://occpermit.com/WellBrowse/Webforms/WellInformation.aspx?ID=57… 1002A is the completion report. Nice well….

If not, then this is the basic link and you can type in the Well name and it will get you there.

M Barnes,

Thank you so very much!

Sandra, it could be for a compression station or it could be for another well that hasn’t been announced yet. Time will tell!

Bill, the Smith 1-18 (S18-03N-04W) was completed in March 2012, Division Orders went out in October 2012, and has been paying since November 2012. If you have an interest and have not been receiving revenue you should call Marathon.

You know a company that is going to build a compressor station just made a deal to buy or lease our preacher’s land which is in those parts. From where you go west just past the old Grassland’s Restaurant and then turn south and go a couple of miles or so is where he (the preacher) had cleared several acres and built himself and his wife a fence and pond and were planning to build a log home for his retirement home. He was sooo disappointed when he was told by his neighbor that the land right across the road was going to be a new compressor station. Now, I don’t know if that is where the location you are describing is but it is mighty close if not. Does the area sound familiar?

Sondra,

Continental dismissed their Location Exceptions and Pooling applications in the end of March. But, there still is a bit of leasing going on.

Hi Friends, Just got back home to OKC yesterday…it’s good to be back. I was in Tennessee taking care of an elderly family member and didn’t have a decent computer or WiFi. Have another offer to purchase mineral rights on Sec. 22-1N-1W but haven’t heard anything else since the last big envelope came in from Continental about three months ago. Has anyone heard if there has been anything going on in my neck of the woods? Just need a little update from you good people. Thanks, Sondra
