Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Hi all, I’ve been absent from the group for a few weeks, hope everyone is doing well. Catching up with a question. We have some action in Sections 22 & 23 1N-1W. I’ve gotten an absolute flood of lease offers & paperwork on this where it looks like Continental are already filing for a permit for the well, before pooling through this APPLICATION FOR AN EMERGENCY ORDER.

Does anyone understand what is going on here? It seems to be backwards, usually lease offers and then pooling before applications like this.

Chris, It is a little out of order, but I think they have a rig ready to go. They shot seismic last year. These sections are at edge of the Wichita Thrust, so the shallow overthrust production has held many of the sections for a while. Now they are trying to get the underthrust Woodford where it is in the condensate zone. You can see the logs on the OCC Exhibits for CD 2013-05894. I am in 23 so will be watching it as well. That flurry of lease offers is increasing in bonus price.

But there is in Garvin. So anything in 2N 2W? I should stay off the computer today.

Has anyone seen or heard of activity in 2N 2W? We have some small acres in four sections but no offers and no news. With so much going on in Stephens it seems that I’d hear something.

Thanks to all

Well that was silly - I was looking at the wrong county. No 2N 2W in stephens. Don’t mind me. Thanks

Rick, we got an offer on 36-2N-2W recently from a landman representing an operator “Ceja” I am not familiar with. It was an unsolicited letter and he didn’t return my phone calls asking for details. Otherwise just crickets.

Thanks. That is what is I have been hearing. Right now I am thinking they have to do more drilling in my areas.

lol Rick T…Hubby and I just got a good laugh out of your post because we had just had the same funny conversation about where 2n2w was after we read your first post. He said well it would be two townships north of the baseline road. I said "well, I’m not real sure where the baseline road is’ I said and he said “well, don’t you know where Tussy is?” “I know were the sign for Tussy is” I said so I said “well it has to be around Elmore City but no that’s Garvin”, so then we read your next post about thinking you were on Stephens so our discussion started over again about where that would be and then I read your post about how you needed to stay off the computer that day and we burst out with the ole belly laugh:) lol Hubby said tell you he feels that way about himself everyday! THANKS WE NEEDED THAT!!!

So, where are your minerals anyway? Around Pernell, Ratliff or Tatums? Or do you really know yourself? lol Heard some time back that some of the majors were reving up in Loco. Yes, Hutch Loco is really an Oklahoma town (small as it is) lol Anyone that would make fun of a name like our Dibble Corner could really have a good time with Loco but probably no jokes they haven’t heard before:)

I have mineral rights in Garvin and Murray counties. Can anyone tell me why there isn’t a group for Murray county?

Any news on additional wells for 3N 4W Sections 29 or 33? Continental and Newfield respectively.

Oh by the way, our interests are in 12,1n,1w - 9,22,26,34,2n2w - 17,4n,3w all in Garvin not Stephens. I checked before I wrote this time.

No new wells yet in 29 or 33, although 28 is getting some for the Gregory wells. Hang in there, they may come eventually.

That’s a lot of sections to have interest in so I’m betting that is really going to pay off for you.

Glad u got a laugh out of it. I was laughing at myself. So after all that I get a division order in the mail from Coffeyville Resources Refining and Marketing for sec 34, 2N, 2W! Called the Ackers 1, 2. How about them apples? And I cannot find that I’ve ever leased that interest. What do you do when u get a division order but haven’t leased?

Rick, I wonder if that division order is based on 1/8 royalty? If your contact information is current at the recorders office and you never received a lease offer or notices of hearings, much less a bonus, I would be speaking to the commission on monday morning and possibly my lawyer monday afternoon.

About the 1/8th royalty - the decimal interest is 0.02343 etc and we have 15 acres in the section. I don’t know the spacing of the unit. I’ve been trying to get more info thru occeweb but it’s never very helpful it seems. Definitely talking to lawyer tmrw.

David, that is the first I have heard of a well pad, but maybe it is for the well NFX is drilling w/SHL in 21 running south through 28 & 33. I have not heard what they named the well but I know there have been a lot of hearings on it the last few months. Maybe someone savvy w/OCC website can let us know…

Thank you Martha. I am sending you a private message with a question I have regarding 2 other sections in 2/3.
