Diamondback Energy buys in - classifies Clearfork, Spraberry, Wolfcamp, Atoka, and Cline, etc. - as “The Wolfberry Play”. We’re good.

This Pioneer Energy Resources’ “Spraberry/Wolfcamp Field Trip Investor Presentation” explains a lot.

Pioneer Triples Budget for Northern Midland Basin article - FYI.

Ralph

Good to see the wolfcamp-spraberry paying off for Pioneer. Thanks for the link Ralpr!

You’re welcome Earnest! I need to clarify my statement below - they are tripling the number of Rigs. The actual budget increase is to be determined.

Ralpr

Thank you for the Northern Midland Basin article, Ralpl. What part of the northern midland basin? West side, east side, all of the above?

Thanks for the postings Ralpr. We're still waiting for permits and drilling in Sections 5 and 45-Howard County. Everyone has their collective fingers crossed.

GT - I look at Pioneer’s Investor Presentations on their website for a sense of their land positions and their drilling strategies (well patterns, well spacing, vertical/horizontal) - it’s like the night before Christmas after reading those Investor Presentations!

Cheers,

Ralpr

On the state website, their permits are in Dawson and Gaines counties.

Thanks for the comeback. Apache has been permitting on the eastside in Howard, Borden and as far up as Garza. A mixer of both horizontal and vertical.

Tall City exploration at the end of 2013 bought up a lot of Chesapeake leases in Borden County and is drilling two horizontal wells in block 31. they are both 9000 ft deep, 1280 acre tracts. The first well is In section 19-30 drilling for a week. When they finish the first well they will move to sections 23-26. their geologists are targeting the Spaberry and are delighted with the shale in the area. Just in the area our group had them pick up the option there is around 14,000 acres. They must of bought up more leases then ours because we only have rights in section 23 in the first two wells.

Permalink Reply by AJ yesterday Delete Wow! “We estimate that this roughly $9 million well could pay out in less than 120 days. This appears to be one of the top performing horizontal wells on a per foot basis in the Midland Basin."

Craig Wascom said: Diamondback Energy reported strong well results in the Permian basin including its first operated test of the emerging Lower Spraberry shale formation and its best well to date in the Wolfcamp shale. http://www.upstreamonline.com/live/article1361223.ece :arrow_forward: Reply

Good article and information on Tall City Exploration a new operator in the area and a outlook of what's ahead for the Wolfcamp,Spraberry. go to www.tallcityexploration.com and click on the ADAM Houston 2014 article on the right side of the home page.

Latest Investor Presentation from Pioneer - FYI. Slides 31-32, etc. fuel the optimism.

Ralpr

When I open the file from three hours ago it says it's expired!I'd really like to know why Ralph is optimistic!!

Rena Keane

Ralpr

You need to go to the Pioneer web site and click investor relations>presentations. I'm thinking he's optimistic because there's so much oil there. All over the place... according to Pioneer's people.

Rena and Jack, Yes, the optimism is due in part to their well spacing configurations and the target formations in the Midland Basin being stacked horizontals in scenarios with much more room for growth. Now if energy prices would recover… we could be happier and healthier.

Thanks, Ralpr and Jack - this time it came through - they do paint a rosy picture! Hope they're right!!

Ralpr and Rena... it is a rosy picture... i just wished they'd get permits and drill on our property in Howard County... just south and east of Big Spring!
