Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

No, Linda, just royalty interest in 112N4W, so I like to watch those around it.

Ed, thanks for the info, just went through paperwork from the 80’s, it was 10 then.

Received a request to 3D property my family owns on Duncan Lake Rd. Section 2 1N 6W. Offered 10 dollars an acre.

Joseph,

We also received at $10. an acre offer for 3D survey on Section 17, 1N 5W, Stephens county. $10.00 an acre is what they paid in the 1980’s. No way are they coming on my property for that amount.

anyone know what mineral acres are selling for in Stephens co?

Just offered 10,500 in sec 8 2n 4w. Down from earlier offered of 18,500 a few months ago. Not selling.

Finally called CR to find out why we didn’t receive a check for July on the Claudine well on Sec. 29 2n4w and she said they had it shut down for that month (guess that would be about May since they keep us about 2 months behind). I ask her if she knew why and if she did she didn’t say. She said ā€œI think it might have had something to do with the cityā€ which didn’t make sense to me as it’s not close to any city. But she said it’s back up and running and there is money in the account so we would get a check next month. Hopefully it will make up what we lost while it was down. Was just wondering if they shut it in for fracing of other wells or just because prices were down. Since it is mainly a gas well I don’t figure it was because of lower prices. Guess it really doesn’t matter as long as they get started again with the checks. Anything is better than nothing.

lucretia ann…I’m sure it depends what section, township and range you are interested in selling. There are all kinds of prices being offered but none as good as they were offering when oil was way on up there. I’m thinking it’s not a very good time to be selling any minerals but what do I know? We turned down some mighty good money for ours only a few months ago and I’m still double guess myself but I think I’m glad we didn’t sell. lol

Operator Activity

K Dawn,

Click on link, enter CLR’s operator number (3186), enter county where units are located, then scroll thru wells to see if any lie in sections within the units. Enter each county that the units may encompass.

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Is it true that net mineral acres are figured by dividing your total acreage in half. So if you have 100 acres of property your mineral acres are 50 mineral acres. I read that on an educational website; I just didn’t know if it applied to Oklahoma.

Ed, could you please check your friend messages?

Has anyone had any luck with Chesapeake returning calls about the royalties owed per their lack of ethics?

Can anyone tell me if Continental drilled in the Velma Tussy; Velma Sims or Humphreys units in the last 10 years?

S34 T2N R4W---any thing new ?

ROBERT R

Continental is leasing in 34-2N-4W. Something should happen eventually.

Lesson # 1… don’t click on the X in the right hand corner or you will erase everything you just wrote! LOL OK, back to what I was trying to convey. On Continental I have division orders on 25-1N-5W (Ely 1-25-36XH) This includes 36-1N-5W. Here is one from Marathon for those that are interested. I just got division orders on these a while back. Marathon 1-1S-5W (Hays 1-1H) & 12-1S-5W (Ely 1-12H) The first one Hays) has paid and I am waiting on (Ely) to pay now. Yesterday I got an offer of $6500 per mineral acre to buy Marathon 11-1S-5W. My guess is if anyone wants to buy it, then they smell production in the near future. Am I correct?

Soonerpe and perhaps others. Would you share the language used in your demand letter for the 12% interest as I am sure it referenced applicable state statutes and other puesdo legal aspects all of which perhaps expedited the payment. Thanks in advance.

No K Dawn, that is not how net mineral acres are calculated.

If someone offers to buy, they see value in the offer. The value may not be the same from person to person, but it is a good sign.
