Linda, guess all you got this time was a hole in the ground!

Diane, that 12% is going to look nice!

Thanks for updates on Virginia well. We got offered $16K/acre for our minerals in section 9 today. Sounds like a pretty good well.

Newfield reported a completion on 6-1-2015. 16-2N-4W Virginia 1H-4X Oil 2,785obpd Gas 1291 Springer formation test done on 5-16-2015. Real nice well for someone, congratulations!!!

Guess that Virginia well was just padded on 16 2n4w because we own in 16 and we didn’t get any of it. Looks like it may have gone north through 9 and 4 2n4w. Suppose that was to get what they couldn’t get to with the Jarred well when they had to stop short. Jarred WAS good too but not THAT good. Maybe they’ll try again with a well through 16, 9 and 4 next time. Hopefully! Jarred was up a little this last time but lacks a long ways to come back to what it was before it was killed by fracking. I’m just glad it is coming back!

Heard on the news that two women have separate lawsuits against companies drilling close to their homes just before one of the larger Oklahoma earthquakes damaged them (one was for property damage and I believe the second was for bodily damage). Hope that doesn’t open up a can of worms. I’d probably feel a different if it hit us.

Received an offer yesterday for section 8 1N5W for $12 K an acre. I hope they know something I don’t as no DO or initial check has arrived and it’s past the 6 month mark for Oceana that is 8 and 17 1N 5W

Yelp…Hutch, and I wouldn’t mind just getting a hole in the ground if it was a swimming pool but no such luck! lol :frowning:

Been seeing a few Siecmic signs around again. Saw the last one in McClain County yesterday along the road on Highway 59 south of Criner.

Getting those great wells all around our Section 34 2n4w. Would sure like for them to start that “In My Dreams” well there but on our last trip down there no action going on there. Did see a deer on Section 27 so that should make the land owner happy. It was a pretty little thing. We have been seeing quite a few deer around our home lately. I believe they like this drilling around here. The hum of the pumping units probably help them sleep. lol

Fred, sections 18 & 19-1N-4W have pending pooling hearings with Newfield, so those will give you an idea of new rates. Newfield

  • most of those wells, I hope Linda didn’t see my bad grammar!

soonerpe and Martha, Thanks for the encouragement, it has been a long wait to hear something about Oceana! Are the numbers you provided, soonerpe, reflective of a moderate, average or really good production? . First glance, they look pretty good but then what do I know (shall we say nothing?)

Hi all, I’ve got acerage in 14,23, & 24 of 1N-4W. Current leases start expiring in May of 2016. Anybody getting any top lease offers? Also, what are the bonus and royalty terms are you getting these days with these current low oil prices? Thanks!

Michael, it is 280,000 mcf. (thousand cubic feet), so three zeros less than your large one. Actually 280,000,000 cubic feet. It is a very nice gas well. It is also choked back to 34/64 (about half of what it could be), but they may leave it that way to help the pressure. The completion report said 6801 mcf per day, which is a one day measurement. Notice that once it got rolling in February and cleaned up, the rates comes out to be 12,320 mcf per day (345,000/28 days), so roughly twice the completion rate. Of course, it drops off quickly which is normal.

Thanks Michael, The complete description we are in is; Section 4 Township 2, Range 4 West and we are with Newfield Exploration.

Donald, it looks to me like you are sitting in a pot of gold. A brief look tells me there are 11 or 12 active wells in 4-2N/4W. 6 wells are the Mashburn 1H-4 thru 6H-33X. 4 or 5 wells are the Wright 2*-4X thru 6H-4X and recently completed the Virginia 1H-4X. I’m unsure about the Wright #2 because I find no data on it so don’t know if it ever got drilled. There may be other information that I did not find but I believe there are others on this forum who own interest in those wells and can tell you more. You can do some research by clicking the link below. You can search by well name or section, township and range. Most of them wells are multi-units with other sections involved. If you can’t find a well under section 4 look under section 9 or 16-2N/4W.

Donald, you will need a township and range to go with your section # example 4-2n/4w.

Donald, before you get all excited is it 2 North or 2 South?

Thanks Michael for your help

Hal- the Poteet was originally in sec 17 2n 4w. The Poteet siblings are in sec 17 and 20 2n 4w. We’ve been waiting a long time! There are a total of 10 Poteets I believe. Very exciting! Wish oil hadn’t gone down today, but I guess it will level off eventually.
