Lynn, I’m sure you know #1 was completed Dec 2012. #2-10H was spud 4/23/15 could be still drilling or just recently completed. If there are any others they have not yet been permitted. (10-2N/4W)
I think Michael Warden is in that section, he might know more.
Doing good. How about you. Any flooding?
Bob, believe it or not the Whatley 2 started paying last month. I wish they were working that fast on the Poteet DOs. It seems a little odd that the Love was tested with a 64/64 choke and using a gas lift.
Kathlyn, the Love is listed under the surface location of 26-1N/5W complete name is Love 1-26-23XH
Lowrance 2-10H has been at 19000 total depth for a week. I think they are getting ready to complete it and a few of the Vanarkles as well.
Ron, you’ve been m.i.a. you doing o.k.?
I’m not loving the Love well. Looking at the numbers on my latest voucher, I see that the Whatley #2 made nearly 70% more $ than the Love, even though I have a lot more acrage in the Love. I haven’t tried to compare production; easier to ask you experts. I understand Whatley #2 is extra-good, but is the Love a not very good well, or is production low because of some next-door fracking, or what? Anyone?
P.S. to Love comment. It’s Sec 23, 1N-5W.
I’m fine Ron. We got a lot of rain but fortunately out of the flood area.
Well you can go crazy comparing wells and units. The Love well is a good well. I show it should have an EUR of over 1mil BOE. It is a 2 unit well so you are spreading production and royalties across sections 23 and 26. I show the Whatley #2 just completed in Feb 2015…so how are you getting production numbers on it other than the test numbers? the Whatley is a single unit well. But you would have to look at production per perforated foot to really compare them. How many payments have you received on both? It seems to early to be getting Whatley 2 checks.
Jeff, I think they will drill more eventually. Probably when prices go back up.
Jennifer, that CD was finished a year ago. It was for the Forrest 2H well. Not sure why it would show up again…I think they will eventually drill out the rest of that section at two different levels-Woodford and Springer/Goddard.
Jen, that cause number comes up as a location exception which are issued as interim orders. It is probably on the docket to record the finished location and to issue the final order. I have noticed that sometimes emergency orders are dismissed after the well has been spud. Multi-unit wells also come back before the court to set allocations and finalize orders. This seems to be the hang up with the Poteets only 4 out of 9 have been finalized.
As for the future of that section I think we will see some multi-units between 17 and 8. There is still plenty of room in the northern half of 17 to do similar to the ones in 17 and 20.
John, does that mean they are finished drilling on Lowrance 2-10?
What do you guys think about the potential of drilling additional wells in Section 20 1N 5W and Section 29 1N 5W? The Hundley and Wilkins wells have done really well, will we need higher oil prices to see that happen?
Thanks y’all… I’m hoping for more wells! Actually it’s says it’s an application for emergency orders. I know, it’s the same CD number as the other completed well. Keeping my fingers crossed. The Poteet wells were on the docket for Monday also. Didn’t notice what for or exactly which ones, but hopefully they will get those going soon.
Rig moved off Lowrance 2-10H site and is now drilling the Vanarkle 2-15-10HX.
Does anyone know what is going on in section 08 02n 04w? There are 3 nice wells currently- Forrest, Forrest 2, and Robert Jo. Over the past 6 months or so I’ve seen several emergency orders for this section. Showed up again on this past Monday’s docket. 201402877 Is the CD. Doesn’t tell me much. Anyone have a clue?
Jen, docket reset til 7/13/15
Barbra,
I’m sure you received the same document I did. They did a pretty poor job of publishing the layout. This link might be easier to read.
Barbara, Newfield is applying to drill a multi-unit horizontal well in sections 16 and 21-2N/5W. Along with that they are filing the necessary applications for spacing, pooling and location exception. If you are already leased in either or both of these sections all you need to do is sit back and wait for them to drill. If you are not leased you will be receiving a pooling order once the application has worked it’s way through the OCC hearings.
