I counted 30 O&G leases recorded from Grantors to Newfield in 34 2n 4w since Feb. 22, 2017 up until a couple of weeks ago. Could this possibly only be the ones that were pooled before they drilled the Mark well into the Springer? Hoping that’s not the case but guess it could be.
lol Correction to my Correction…I see that the Mark was drilled only into the Springer. Since we didn’t put depth limits on our lease when we leased it to Continental for the second time would that be the reason we didn’t get any pooling papers (because they drilled the well just about 3 months before that second lease was up) so it would be HBP for every depth? Wish I had read people’s advice about putting depth restrictions on our lease back then instead of after we signed it. Hind sight 20/20!!!
Can anyone shed any light on why there were so many leases recorded by Newfield (and a few others) on section 34 2n4w after the completion of the Mark well on Jan. 27th (I believe)? (Looking for a silver lining!)
CLRs 1/4 report talks about drilling the Sycamore, wonder if we will see any of that in Stephens County
Linda,
Some people may have had depth clauses in their lease or they were pooled for the Woodford; therefore, they would need to be leased or pooled for the Springer. It has been mentioned before that the land work for leasing and pooling is not as vigorous as the title work used for division orders.
Ryan…don’t remember where I saw it. Was thinking it was on a link I saw on here.
soonerpe…I suspect you are right. Just chasing that dream again. lol Thanks for the insight.
Linda, where are you getting your production information?
I recently received from continental, back payments for my mineral rights. THe back payments dated back to January, 2015. I understand that interest is due me on these payments. My question is…what kind of interest should I expect? I have been in touch via phone with continental and they responded that they had sent my verbal request to the revenue department and they would get to it “when they had the time”. Sould I follow up the phone conversation with a letter? I plan to include my owner number, the location of the well, and the number of the check which was generated for the back payments, amount received and the dates Jan 2015 to Jam 2017. am I missing anything ? what information should I include? the phone conversation took place march 27.
On a quick trip south and through the east edge of the diggins as we went to my uncle’s 90th birthday party we noticed there is another rig up in front (west side) of the new Newfield’s office. There had been 2 rigs west of there and all sit on section (I believe) 22 2n4w but I’ve forgotten the names and which direction they are running this time. The former rigs that drilled on that section were Boles wells but seems to me someone said these are running south instead of north and had different names. Help me on this one too please. My memory is failing!!!
The state statute says 12% compounded annually for marketable title. 6% compounded annually for non-marketable title.
Ryan…you asked me the other day about where I got my information about the Mark well. Just found it again. Go to the forum topics above to the one that says: Newfield Multiunit Horizontal Wells Section 27 and 34 and then scroll down to someone’s answer. They included three links and in one it told they only went 607 into section 34 and on one of the others it told what the production rates were.
does anyone know of plans for a future well in Stephens sections 8 and 17 1N 5W?
That’s a little far south for my stomping ground Diane.
Thanks Linda for the info on interest. NO problem with the title or address, etc. I THINK they were audited and it was found…but no fault of mine and with only one well and receiving month;y checks I’m not sure of the cause. REgardless it appears to be, as you said, around 10%…yeah! do you think I need a letter to them?
Thanks to all of you who are my friends again!
Well, there you go Diane. Told you my memory is failing. Ricks news was even better than I remember!
A certified letter return receipt is best. Sometimes it slips through the cracks.
R. Story’s answer was where I found the links about the Mark wells.
That is strange–I spoke with Continental last week and they told me they will not be re-leasing my lease which expires in January. I am at 7 1N 6W. they told me that they were concentrating on a different area altogether. I wonder if they are having a sudden change of heart???
