Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Took a trip down though the diggins today. Found out the Mark well on Section 27 and going through 700 ft. of 34 2n4w made a VERY GOOD well! Heard they have been hauling off “4 tanks of oil a day for several days now”. Don’t know if that means tanks or tank trucks but either way it’s really good!

We counted 7 rigs in the area we went to which included two rigs on the section where Newfield’s new office is which I believe to be section 23 2n4w in Stephens Co. but don’t know which direction they are going and how far. Also counted 3 rigs just on the south edge of Garvin Co. on the east side of the highway 76. Which Garvin Co. section sits on the north side of Section 6 2n4w in Stephens Co.? Think that’s where those rigs are sitting. Also saw two rigs on what I believe to be the north side of section 19 2n 4w (1 rig) and one on the north side of what appears to be section 18 so guess that’s the rigs someone has been talking about. There was also a swabbing rig sitting on what I believe was the second Vanarkel well. That’s about all we know for the moment. Hope that make some of you happy campers!

Still making mistakes in the original post below. There was ONE rig on what I think is section 19 and one on section 18 2n4w (not 2 rigs on section 19)

Have now copied, posted and deleted the following post 3 times because of my reporting mistakes. For those of you that read it before I changed it you will notice I changed the location of the 3 rigs just north of Stephen’s Co. in Garvin Co. to the section north of section 6 in Stephen’s Co. (not section 2). Sorry for any false hope I might have created. I may lose my reporter’s license if I can’t do better than that! Oh Me!!!

Jennifer…is the application you received on section 19 only supposed to go through 19 and the one on 18 just supposed to go through 18?

Linda, Mark 1H-27X was drilled 742’ in Sec. 34. Therefore only 13.215% of the costs/revenue will be allocated to Sec. 34.

Completion reports are often not posted for about four months on the OCC. Sometimes you get lucky and see them earlier. If someone on the forum has a working interest, they might have it earlier. You can sometimes find the info in the OCC ruling for the percentage split.

Ryan…well that’s 42’ further than I thought they went into 34 so guess that’s a plus.

Was thinking that since the Mark well on Section 27 and 34 2n4w has been completed for a few weeks now that maybe they would have a report made with the OCC or wherever they do those things. Can anyone find those out and let us know what they say? Thanks

I have BF easy to work with and timely in checks.

Linda 42’ extra is great! Just sent you a direct message.

Linda- there are 2 new wells in18 on the application. Jo Ann 2h-18x and 3h-18x. Then there are two applications with the same well names that say they are in both 18 and 19 with an estimated split of 50/50. So I’m a bit confused. Cd#'s- 201700630-t, 201700631-t, 201700628-t, 201700626-t.

Anyone heard of Blackfish Energy? Just got an offer for 1750@ 3/16 1500@ 1/5 or 700@ 1/4 for sections 18 and 19 2n 5w.

Last lease expired last august with Apache, that was 1650@3/16.

Thomas, no,

I’ve been getting offers to buy my minerals in 5&6-2-4 west. Is $2500 per net mineral acre good?

Anyone use an oil attorney to vet your lease?

-Bryce Ingram

I have not found leases to be “standard”. There are some strong similarities in many leases. There are also many marked with forms numbers making them appear to be standard. The same with clauses. A word or two could make a tremendous difference in the way(s) they could be applied to your interest.

When in doubt, consult with an attorney with experience in oil and gas leases as they apply in the state in which your minerals reside. A mistake here could impact the income for the properties for generations.

Thomas that is very low

Are any mouthpieces? Seriously they were not bad.

I will keep that in mind. Thanks gentlemen. Better safe than sorry.
