Thanks Linda. Newfield is the operator.
Joseph⦠hubby asked someone about it yesterday before I knew the name and they said if itās the Vitruvian (sp?) well that he thought it was that they were flowing it back but he didnāt know any more than that (didnāt know how it was doing up till now).
Josephā¦my husband asked his friend if the Martin was the name on the well he reported about but he didnāt know the name of it. Will let you know if I hear anything else.
Randy, we are involved in something similar with CLR. It seems like dividing up the settlement would be an accounting nightmare. Do you know what formula they used to divvy it up?
OK, thanks again Linda.
Chesapeake stock went to zero. Look for liquidation.
I still see Chesapeake stock at $5.08.
I received 2 checks from Chesapeake today too. Not sure which wells they were but I guess Iām happy they finally got around to sending them.
Not sure how it was figured, just that it took 5 months since the last court date.
Just received a nice check from Chesapeake today from the lawsuit.

M Barnes and everyone, hope all is well! I want to continue the previous conversation you were having with Karen S. After the pooling, even if it was years ago; and now your HBP; and the description on the lease specifies the formation is only at 5,500 ft.; can you lease the lower formations?
K Dawn, If the pooling was for a particular zone, then you can lease above and below that zone-generally. If you leased, then that is a different story. Do you have the pooling order number? The wording is critical.
Wishing Everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Iām so grateful I found this wonderful forum. Special thanks to Rick, Hutch, Linda and M.Barnes and all the others who contribute to this amazing forum. Youāve all helped me so much. Iām so grateful!
Thanks Jen, wishing you a good Thanksgiving too!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! Full of turkey and all the trimmings, weāre settled in for the night only to start it all over again tomorrow. Guess we save a lot of money that way staying away from the Black Friday sales, but itās not too good for the waistline. So much for the diet Iāve been on for the last month and a half. Saturday I must get back on the wagon! Blessings to you all and stay safe!
Happy Thanksgiving to Forum Friends. I am truly thankful for your insight, willingness to share and friendship out there in cyberland. Safe travels to all and blessings to all of your families. Remember the One who has blessed our families with the gift of stewardship over His resources.
Ms. Barnes & Ms. Rigtracker, thank you for everything you guys do to keep us informed. We had an amazing Thanksgiving and Iām feeling pretty stuffed! Not that it stopped me from eating pie already this morning!
Back to our conversation. Here I go again assuming something. Can you please clarify? I thought that when an oil company wants to drill, they lease the land and then notify those who have an interest and then they force pool for those who they couldnāt find. I thought the first step was leasing the land, next pooling, then division orders, then pay.
