Noticed this morning that Seaberg rig is standing and lit up.
Bobby Rob… is that you?
Well that is a good guess. BR
Hi @BR549, there are 2 Seaburg wells , one running N/W and the other running S/E. The platforms should be just a few hundred feet from one another. Can you be a little more specific in what you saw, thanks!
I can see the rig standing from my place. They are lighting it at night. That is all the info that I have.
Thank you for your response BR549, if you see any changes I would appreciate the information.
What a wonderful photo, beautiful area in Texas! Thanks BR549
Thanks for letting us know. It helps me connect some dots - I got a specific offer to purchase minerals in a survey adjacent to one of these wells last week. Is the rig still there or has it moved on – probably to Kiker in the Dwight Survey?
The Seaberg OTA 1H has been drilled but not completed. The Seaberg ES 1H is being drilled now. Spud date was 1/20/2026.
Thanks for the update
Appreciate the information, how long are they estimating the Seaburg ES well to take before finished? Curious how many months it is taking them to drill directional wells 30k of pipe
Kiker well drilled. Fracking was supposed to start this week or next. They are running the hose across my farm.
That’s good to know. Comstock has now drilled most of its permitted wells in this part of Leon County. It will be interesting to see what they do next. Maybe rework some wells or submit a new round of drilling permits nearby?
Comstock has a permit request in the works for another Leon County well to be located 7.1 miles southwest of Oakwood. This is a 15-mile stepout to the northeast from their previous Leon County wells.
Comstock pad going in on CR 347 approximately 3 miles sw of Nucor.
Where on CR 347? North or south of the BN-SF railroad?
South
How do you know it is Comstock?
Because the precinct commissioner approved a 180 road use permit for Comstock, and I’ve seen the pad’s location.
