There are 2 new pads going in. One is 1 mile south of Hwy 39 on County Road 392. The second is 1 mile north of Robbins on Hwy 39. Both are Comstock.
Hey cousin, Whereabouts on County Road 392? I am currently in the Menn well and recently received a small amount of minerals from momâs grandmother along with other cousins. I believe that will be the Holt well. Landman from Comstock said I was due to get other tracks in next year. I suspect the permits will be pulled before the option runs out. They were supposed to run a fracking hose across the farm last week. Let me know what you find out.
Anybody know which comes first: starting to set up a pad or requesting a drilling permit? Maybe the RRC is just slow to post drilling permits.
Very interesting post. We also have interest in the Menn well. Any idea where (abstracts) the new well might be running next year?
I looked on the RRC site and didnât see anything. My farm is on Hwy 7 and one place over from 392 but I am wondering if it will be too far north to hit me. I spoke with someone from Comstock when arranging running the fracking hose through for the Kiker well and they said I would get some tracks in next year. My lease runs out in July so I expect they will pull a permit by then if that is so. Wonât know until we see the plat.
Hey cousin back, All I know is I was told that there is a location being put in 1 mile south of 39 on 392. No other information or details on it.
We will be up there in a week or so and check it out. Sounds like it may be too far north to hit my place. They seem to run for a couple of miles diagonally from southeast to northwest. Thanks for the info.
If it goes that way, the farm is plenty close. They are trying to space out to close the gaps between gas units to hold all the land in production. But who knows?
Bembo, where exactly on CR 347 did you see the pad? I grew up on that road so I know it well.
Also, my family has some acreage pooled in the Miles well, but some of our other acreage from the lease wasnât put in the pooling unit. This is on the western side of the road. The primary term was due to expire in Feb 2026, so I think putting up a pad would enable Comstock to hang onto the unused acreage.
If the pad is on the other side of the road, that concerns property that the Golie well has been holding for the past 70 years.
