How do you know if a company’s offer on mineral rights is fair? Is there a way to independently assess mineral rights? If so, where/who would I need to contact? Is there liability from leasing mineral rights to a company? As in, can landowners come back and sue a mineral rights owner for something a company did?

Short of looking up all the mineral deeds at the county website, I think you could contact a “broker” whose business it is to know the current market place.
