what is normal time from approval to spud ?

Lloyd,

I can’t say there is a normal time. I can’t say some of these operators are normal in anything they do. My guess is that some of them spud the well within a month of approval of drilling permit. Just my opinion. Good luck on a good producer if you are about to have a well to be drilled.

Clint,

This permit was cancelled.

A new one was given for the same pad but to a depth of 9,900 ft going south in a horizontal about 5,000 ft.

The first permit was for 9,500 ft depth in a north direction horizontal of about 5,000 ft.

What formation could they be looking for? Ellenburger, Fusselman?

Also, can more than one horizontal be drilled from the same pad?

Lloyd,

I would say they are still targeting the Mississippian formation as they were in the original approved permit. Possibly the lateral will be a little longer.

And I’m sure that several horizontals can be drilled from one pad.

Lloyd,

After further checking I find that the new permit is for the same Abstract Number A-1221.

The lateral for the old permit was for 4,520’ and the targeted formation was the Mississippian.

The lateral for the new permit is for 5,731’ and is still in A-1221—the same location targeting the Mississippian formation.

Lloyd,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
