Need a reliable Landman/Landperson/Landwoman (not landlady!) I have a friend who has 12 sets of mineral rights in West Virginia and needs some guidance for estate planning purposes…should they sell out due to ignorance of the business and being an absentee owner or designate them to someone in the family for management into the next generations. please respond with contact information?
You might have better luck getting a reference if you post in the West Virginia Category. This is the main category and too general. There may also be some landmen or appraisers posted in the Directories tab at the top. There is a mineral appraiser in WV posted there.

I am a mineral appraiser and am very familiar with many oil and gas issues in the Appalachian Basin (OH, PA, WV, KY, TN, etc). You might actually want to speak with a lawyer for estate planning purposes.
