Were you in Logan Co? I think 20N-2W is part of Noble Co. I do not know of any wells in 31-20N-2W except for a salt water well on the SE 4, 31-20N-2W, Noble Co, it may not be listed this way as it’s a faction and may be lots.
Another salt water well is in NE 6-19N-2W which is in Logan Co and joins 31-20N-2w as the road isn’t cut through.
For the Nemaha Ridge area, go to the Devon Investor Relations site and pull up their July presentation. Shows the Nemaha Ridge on P. 16. To the left, it is deeper in Grant and Garfield counties. To the right you will see their large swath of acreage in Northern Logan and other counties. It is shallower here. Also, go to Slawson and Osage and pull up their most recent Investor relations power points to get their spin on it as well.
Has anyone read Devons 2nd qtr results? Good read on their Nemaha Project. Sound like they are going to focus more in the Woodford while still developing the Miss. Very positive results from both formations.
Seeing the results of 100 more or less bopd in Logan County must surely leave something of an empty feeling in the drilling companies and especially for investors. I can not imagine much enthusiasm at stockholders meetings who have been tooting about US Oil dependency from OPEC nations. I just do not see it this way.
There is more than meets the eye with these numbers. They do not tell the whole truth. More or less a snap shot of what is happening. The real story will be in a year or two to see how many barrels they have recovered in this project. This is area as a lot of stacked pay zones. The Miss formation that had everyone excited is just the icing on the cake. The real prize is turning out to be the woodford below. Infill drilling will take 2-5 years before you will really see it. Devon has already built and is working on a massive infrastructure system that will handle that. A few years ago Devon did the same thing in parts of Canadian county. Afterwards the mineral purchase offers got has high as 15K an acre. Not saying that is going to happen here but its shaping up that way. Buckle in because this is just the beginning for northern Logan county.
I see do they give a projected time frame for drilling by chance? just curious I’m in section 25. I was pooled a while back still not sure if it was 2 wells they finished in sec. 2-18n-2w about 1 mile from me or future wells coming up soon.
I agree, Mineral Steve, and have always said as much, this is just the very beginning of wanderful production for Northern Oklahoma, and I bless God for my even being a small part in it. The future looks great, but depending on variables most people either ignore or do not realize, this could also turn out to be an ecological nightmare. In Florida, 2 days ago, an entire Hotel built next to Disneyland collapsed into a huge sinkhole. A big, filled with tourists hotel, destroyed in the blink of an eye. In Western Kansas, 2 weeks ago, a huge 180 foot by 90 ft deep sinkhole appeard in a flash. There are mini earthquakes all over north central Oklahoma recently. So what is in common with N Central Missippian Play formation, Disneyland sink holes and Western Kansas sinkholes? They are ALL atop Limestone formations and very suseptable to sink holes. Osage, in my opinion. needs a great well or two and I am basing this on a market exchange price year long high of $1.57 per share and a low of just under 57 cents a share. Right now 99 cents a share. Environmentalists are gathering all of this data and information, and they will surely use it very shortly, again, this is only in my opinion THEY WILL FIGHT US TOOTH AND NAIL… But, are they whistling in the wind? How many millions of wells would we have to drill just to equal OPEC output? Are we geographically able to handle that many?
