Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I wonder why a well is named Commissioners…hmm.

r w kennedy - no I haven’t received any payment or any other correspondence from TS Dudley. Just lawyer sending the various filings…spacing and now the pooling order.

Stephen,

Our pooling order only gave us 20 days to get our choice to them, so you’ll want read it carefully right away and figure out what you want to do before it is too late!

Just received a pooling order concerning my Logan holdings. My question is this: In April I replied back to a TS Dudley ( they stated “on behalf of Devon”) a choice on their letter for leasing. Am I obligated to go with that choice or am I allowed to notify Devon with a choice off the Pooling Order?

This isn’t Cathy but—hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable 4th holiday as we had. We traveled to Sterling, Ks. and spent a couple days with family For a small town, they know how to put on a big town fireworks show, it was tremendous. I would not know how to estimate the number of people around their lake watching the show. Goode show Sterling!

Stephen, If you didn’t execute and return a lease, I would just make a pooling election when the time comes.

r w - thanks, I was thinking that was the way to go. My siblings ask questions and as most of us know when an area gets active every landman is the country sends stuff. Haven’t seen a real lease yet and the pooling order has a section about electing this or that. Thanks!

newbie - time to contact my sibs and explain that they need to act, after reading the order themselves. Thanks!

Stephen, If you didn’t execute an actual lease, in front of a notary, which you returned, I don’t think you are bound. If it was just a letter asking you if you would like $xxx cash and xx% royalty giving a couple variations and choices, I would just consider that a questionnaire. Oil companies and their hirelings always want you to be committed or think you are, while they have no commitment. You haven’t received any payment yet have you?

Sterling (KS) College, a beautiful little school. and where my Sonnet Writing got its very beginnings. Tell-all true story, in my book LOVE POETRY, (you have it Catherine and Claude) last few pages. I saw my first actual gas well just a few miles north of there, really.

db-----it’s been over a month since I’ve bothered you with any questions and I can’t stand it any more. Are they still running electrical lines to all of their pads and laying pipe lines for gathering gas, or is there some serious work being done toward getting some oil on the market? Thank you.

flow back guys on site ,waiting for electric and gas lines

Woops that should be 20-17N-4W not 3W. Permit issued.

Another Logan County nearby well drilling permit 20-17N-3w, look for more exciting news shortly.

Does anyone have a good handle on pipeline easements in north Logan County, 19N 3W area? Interested in price per rod, width, # of pipelines per easement, valve stations, depth, etc.

20 - 17 N - 4W permit is for the Hunton Formation only? Suggesting to me that more is going on than most people know about, they drill and then they do tons of reseaqrch into many things before they arrive at any conclusions that guide future drilling? I will Bing Hunton Formation.

Legal should read for the Branson in Section 23-T17N-R4W

Min Steve should be 23-T17N-R4W

That lookin like some statisticians who gets their horses before the carts right? As if we don’t get all confused anyway. LOL
