Who’s ridiculous? You called the President of the United States a clown. I thought we were all Americans.
Kaye, a worthy cause if ever there was one. Our elected officials should always be looking over their shoulders. Our public servents should be worried for their jobs every day just like the the people who pay them. Things have become a little too cush in the public sector.
I think the elected officials really need to be looking over both their shoulders now. I just found out you can’t buy any 9mm shells because the government has purchases them all. Now how are we going to qualify for our concealed hand gun licenses without bullets? Wonder why they need so many bullets are they that scared? And I don’t even believe in fighting not even in war, but I will protect myself and family. I think the government and oil companies have pushing people to far. Now instead of social parties, we will have reloading parties. I’m just a little upset today. Sure hope no oil company calls me today. Ha
I heard the directions from Kansas City to the District of Columbia is you go East til you smell it, then south til you step in it. Then I heard that is how you get to Fort Worh from Denver, etc, etc. I think it might be a Polish joke.
“I can feel it coming. It’s in the air tonight. Oh Lord…”
Harley,
I would like American to be free like it used to be. When I grew up, all the oil companies where owned by American. Most homes had guns by the back door and we didn’t worry about getting ammo. No one shot each other, because we all knew what would happen. It was the death penalty, no question ask. If you came to America, you learned the languages, went by the rules and became a citizen. Paid your taxes, etc.
No welfare, you worked or did without. No free lunches.
I know the other countries have it worst, but we need to keep America from getting that way.
I see no need to be afraid, just be American. Something big is in the air and about to happen. But we will get through it.
Who is THIS “they” crap? Google FEMA CAMPS.
Believe absolutely nothing you hear, and only half of what you THINK YOU SEE. Go to Church. Learn, prepare, and survive.
And, Drill Baby Drill…
Judy and Kaye,
I do not think we need to carry this any future. I am sorry that I got carried away and this isn’t the site to do it on. I will apologize to both of you. This is American and lets keep our oil.
Virginia,
Since we are all in control of what we believe, I will simply share a couple of thoughts on the two links. Then I am going to turn off the Forum.
The issues around Obama being to blame for this and that is what one would expect from the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, one of the most extreme right wing groups in the country.
The issue of ownership of the oil companies is pretty much valid. Indeed, the examples show a lot of institutional investors owning shares. As far as I can see though, none of them have a controlling interest and the companies are still US companies managed by US people. Last I heard, Royal Dutch Shell is still 67% owned by the Queen of the Netherlands.
The piece on Ammunition is fascinating. Hard to know what the young man peddling herbs and ointments is up to. I did not try any of the links to China web sites at the top of his web site. There are probably some groups in the backwoods of Utah, Oklahoma and Texas would worship him
On the topic of Ammo though, I have come to trust this web site for attempting to find accuracy. It is a bit bothersome that our Department of Home Land Security feels a need to protect from our own citizens.
I no longer want to be a member of sight with people like this.
I am not trying to offend anyone but I do think this forum is about Logan County minerals, drilling and oil production. I think many of the recent comments would be best served if posted on Twitter or some other forum. I visit this site to try to find out what is going on energy wise in Logan County. I think most of you also do so. I think a lot of you need to hook up on Twitter to exchange your political and other views, but not here. I don’t come here for the link to the most recent Ronald Von Wilson song or finding out why DHS is buying bullets. As an a NRA member, DHS buying bullets does interest me but not here. It should be discussed in the proper forum. This it just my opinion.
Well, Easter has come and gone, company has all gone home and it’s raining again. Can’t really call it a spring rain, the temp is in the 30’s. The forecast calls for rain thru Thur. The Crescent zip code area calls for rain today and tomorrow, maybe the ponds will benefit a little from what ever we get. Hope everyone had as nice a weekend as we did. Kids and grkids wall to wall in sleeping bags, always enjoyable.
I was just wondering if there has always been a draught in Logan County? DB and Catherine mentioned a lake in sec 20 17 3, but no one said if it wasfull or low, only that the driller in question would not be using the water from this particular lake. And one more thing, since this is about a 30 acre lake, could they drill in the center of it, much like they do in the Gulf of Mexico? How deep is this lake? Did the state of Oklahoma stock this lake with fishes, like the state of Kansas used to do, and if they did, then landowners had to let the public have access to it to fish.
Please, let us have some decorum on this forum and get back to just Logan co mineral posts.
We thank all of you for sharing so much info with all of us novices!
While I would certainly agree to only posting about “Logan County Minerals,” and nothing else, thus resulting in back to the 1 post every 3 or 4 days being here, we should ask ourselves, what else could be her? Our opinions of everything, including our President, certainly have a lot to do with Logan County minerals. As does our picture of the Balkkan and Saudi Oil. It all comes together everywhere.
Ronald, I think with a lake that size they could probably drill at an angle and not have to get their feet wet, if the target was below the exact center of the lake.
db-----homemade bread just out of the oven, still raining here, pellet stove fired up, temp is around 40, allis well with the world. Except, curiousity is killing me. Are they drilling or what?
@Richard Pruitt: Thanks for the link…good stuff.
still drilling
Rick, are you one of the moderator’s? If so, please, send me a private email and I will be happy to talk to you.
