Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

And Rudolph’s red nose about to blow a fuse…

Just checking my spreadsheet on 17N-3W

Horizontal Wells:

2 Producing

17 Spudded

3 Permitted/not spudded

6 on Court Docket for Spacing/Pooling

3 on docket for Location Exception

Apparently nothing in 10 Sections. Multiples in 8,9,21,24/25.

This is not counting disposal wells.

Anybody know where the drilling is? Any completions?

Osage/Slawson/Stephens need to “bust some bu…” you know what!

see 5 rigs from house

Beth Devon has a well they started 0n Dec. 2012 in section 11. Here is a link for the pooling for that section. Let me know what you need.

Beth - You can look up oil leases, mineral deeds that have been sold on the website Oklahoma Public Land Records by selecting Logan County and entering the section, township and range. There is a fee to use this service but it isn’t very much. I hope this helps.

Beth - You can also look up drilling activity on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission Oil Gas Well Records website. This list well activity and you can check Sec 36 Twn 15N Rge 2W by entering 3615N02W in the “Legal Location” block. You can check surrounding sections to yours by amending your search criteria.

Need to know value of my mineral lease located in Logan County & if there is any activity nearby :Also what would be a fair price for my lease?
40 acres, NE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 36, Township 15N, Range (2) West, Logan County , OK- Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

db - Can you update me on the drilling on 21-17N-3W? I believe that is the section just east of you.

Ronald,

The paper said, possible had been caused. When scientists don’t know, but want to get a pay check they use the word “MAY or possible”.

I know of a few other light earthquakes in Oklahoma, but nothing as big as the one in 2011. We were at the farm about 100 miles from the site and our fan and lights where swaging. I thought a plane had crashed it was so loud. Now if we want to worry about that, we might as well start worrying about the beef situation. Cities are using up the land for houses, drought cased mommy cows to be sold, etc. etc.

How is the opinion made public by a few scientists that the earthquake in Oklahoma in 2011 was caused by deep injections of drilling waste water going to affect the future of drilling in Oklahoma? The reports do not say who the goofy-- I mean scientists are who made that determination are or where they are located. Is this the first man made earthquake by oil well drilling on the planet, or have there been others??? I do not understand all I know about this.

I don’t know if any of you use Google Earth to look at the oil wells (or anything else) in Logan County but I found a neat tool that will superimpose the section description onto Google Earth. The link is Earth Point - Tools For Google Earth where you can enter the state, section, township and range and then click “Fly To On Google Earth” and you have the section superimposed with subdivisions down to SE SE or SW SE as an example.

Catherine,

Keep that rain coming down. I think most of the drilling is west of Mulhall and NE of Perry. Still lots of spacing going on, but not that spud reports.

At least Oklahoma is still up, so they are drilling somewhere.

Rigs drilling directional were reported at 206, down 8 units from a week ago and 27 fewer than the comparable week last year. Those rigs drilling horizontally fell 1 to 1,099. This compared with 1,180 rigs working horizontally in the comparable week a year ago.

Of the major oil and gas producing states, Oklahoma was up 9 rigs to 192. Colorado, at 58 this week, was up 2 units. North Dakota and Pennsylvania, at 175 and 69, respectively, were up 1 rig each. Six states remained unchanged this week, namely New Mexico, 80; California, 39; Ohio, 28; West Virginia, 22; Arkansas, 15; and Alaska, 9. Wyoming was down 1 unit to 42; Texas was down 4 units to 823; and Louisiana was down 7 units to 102.

Virginia according to the USA rig count for 3-29-2013 there are 13 rigs drilling in Logan county and 6 rigs in Payne county, Of the 13 rigs in Logan county 12 are horizontal and I vertical.

Virginia 6 rigs in Garfield and 7 in Noble. Try this out www.drillingahead.com and click under USA RIGS and roll through the pages and find the state and it will list the counties they are drilling in if the company reports that week.
