Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Grilling with cedar may be an acquired taste, personally I prefer dry cured mesquite and fresh cut “green” pecan. “Green” mesquite can be overpowering.

Well. I have known attorneys who gave me slight cases of heartburn once in a great while.

But my doctors have all tried to make me diabetic, copd, atra fib and a few I cannot spell. None of the panned out after numerous tests. But they did put me on medication that gave me periphial neurophie, irregular heart rhythm, dry mouth, gastroitis, toenail fungi, cancer of the earlobes, hearing problems, blurred vission, erectile disfunction, irregular electrical signals to the brain, and for all of those they put me on more medication that made all of them worse and gave me a few more. Also, one nurse said if I had an erection for longer than 4 hours, to call her that weekend.

Thank U Virginia for this link, it isw truly an eye opener and should give a high measure of hope to all of us little guys. My own eye glued for a few seconds to the following four words, " “free of all costs” which is indeed in my own lease and if I understand it the way these plainteffs understand it, they are very important words. Something else I took out of this very well written article, is that like my own lawyer always said, “…everyone in the USA should sue someone before they die…” Makes sense to me.

Over in Payne County, there is a comment telling someone that they (landmen?) are no longer interested in purchasing minerals because of low production output of the Mississippian in Payne County. Go to the Payne County page today to read it, but this is not great news, if it is true. But, sardines smell in Oklahoma just like everywhere else. I have my doubts about the comment.

I think your right Virginia although some of the numbers they are reporting sound dismal in townships 18&19 range 3,4&5 east so jack Rayburn says with Devon anyway I had called him to ask about some paper work I received with spacing orders in my section trying to find out when they are going to drill my section and of course he didn’t have the rig schedule in front of him, hmmmm his job is to answer these questions for the owners but no schedule? So of course he couldn’t tell me when, they sure seem to keep drilling even though the bpd numbers are supposably disappointing interesting , so basically I got no info on what I really needed to know and more info on how bad it’s going east of me a few miles interesting game this is, oh but he said they where going to try some different pumps to hopefully boost the bpd #'s I don’t know.

Todd,

You will never get a straight answer from an oil company. Plus I doubt that Jack would even know where the rig is, let alone when it’s coming to your farm. Big companies don’t know what the right hand is doing and really don’t care what the left hand did. You can go to OCC and look up all the spacing orders and spud records and drilling permit. If you don’t understand what the spacing order says, I would call Donna or Junior at OCC and ask them. Also, their should be an attorney name on the papers that you received. You can call him and he is required to answer your question at no cost to you since the oil company is spacing your land. I bet you got well location exception. Most 640 spacing state they have to be 660 feet from the boundary or any well. But, since it a H well, they need to start at 330 ft in order to get the kick off point longer for the section. If that is what you got, then they will be drilling within the next few months.

I got my first notices this year that a oil company was asking for an exception to the 6 months drilling on a spacing order. So, it will be interesting to see if OCC goes up to 1 year on their spacing orders before the order expires. I have been figuring they will have to go up to a year on these spacing orders to get them all drilled and get the docket cleared at OCC.

Well, Virginia, that is Cyprus, I have been there 3 times. and even met the Archbishop Makarios. Cyprus is one of the most important locations on the planet, though a very small Island, it is home to the very earliest of peoples, dating back to the Paleolithic (Stone) Age. You would need to study volumes of data to understand just how important this country is. I already know gold and oil prices, but care little about the Dow on a daily basis. Thanks for the link to oil, I had it but it disappeared. I, and others, believe Cyprus could conceivably bring down the entire EU, but at the least we are liable to see some street protest action we have never witnessed in our times soon. Very soon.

Todd … Here’s how you find your Orders from OCC

Go to OCC home page to the Tab that says: “Conducting Business” and scroll down to “Imaged Documents” and open up then, scroll down to No. 3 where it says, “Click Here To Search Documents” and open that up. From there scroll down to OAP Orders & Case Files and enter your docket number or legal to find your case. Scroll down to bottom of page to view.

Here’s how you find Permits from OCC

Go to OCC home page to the Tab that says: “Conducting Business” and scroll down to “Database Search” tab over to “Oil & Gas” and click to open then, scroll down to “New Well Browse Database” and open that up. From there enter your county, legal, API No., etc. to search for your property.

Once you open it up and find what your looking for click on the magnifying glass, to open.

When that opens scroll down to “All Images” and click again, to open that up where you’ll need to scroll down (the inside window) to get to the bottom of the page to see and open up all permits or recorded documents.

Note: Or, you can open them individually.

Hope this helps a little and I didn’t confuse to badly!

I still say we gotta love our landmen, and our Landladies, too. I could always get anything I ever wanted from my Landladies, really.

Ronald … I think your right in-part about the protest and a good possiblity of things going beyond protesting with how this admin is!

Todd … Where are your farms at? Are you east or west of hwy 77? Could you let me know where you’re getting these reports?

Ronald,

Land man will tell everyone they aren’t leasing anymore as lease prices have got to high. They will go way for a couple years and come back and offer $50 again. That is oil business. If anyone falls for it, the land people will make a big profit.

Ronald,

This is a good site to look up daily oil prices.

If you want to know gold prices and oil, use this site.

Now if you need the Dow today, I will give you that also. You need to stay informed.

I just heard some foreign country was trying to take 10% out of everyone checking and saving account for the government. Now I know I shouldn’t be keeping money in the banks today. So, we can start a run of the banks next.

Ronald … your silly!! lol

Todd,

Donna & Junior # 405-251-2613. Their title is Administrative Programs office , oil & Gas Complaints/Information. They are both wonderful people and very helpful.

I will have to get my other computer up tomorrow to tell you where to go to get spacing order, etc. as Windows 8 doesn’t work with OCC system and my lay top is in for repair. My tablet battery is down. Hasn’t been the best day.

If you need to know sooner. When you call Donna or Junior, they can walk you through how to get spacing, spud and drilling orders. I do it without thinking and now I can’t remember.

If you got your spacing from Michael Stack, he probably won’t have time to get back with you. He has lot on his calendar. Ask to speak to his assistance. She should be able to answer any question you have, I can’t remember her name, but she is nice and helpful. Seems Mr. Stack spends all his time at OCC court. He has several spacing orders in Tulsa the next couple weeks as he has one of my Noble Co spacing. If it’s well location exception, you don’ t have to worry about anything. But, it’s always nice to know what is taking place.

Virginia, yes!! Plank grilling is pretty darn nifty. I soak a piece of untreated (that’s the key word) cedar for 3-5 hours, or sometimes in the AM when I go to work. When its time to grill, I heat the grill to about 400, set the cedar plank on the grill with a little olive oil and salt, for about 10 minutes just until it starts to crackle. Then I lay my salmon (skin side down) on the planks, top it with some butter and lemon and cook it for about 12-15 minutes. Best tasting fish I’ve ever had outside of fresh halibut. Oh, yeah, when you’re done, take the charred plank off of the grill, let it cool then throw it away. VIOLA, instant easy and wickedly tasting meal.

@RW, yes it is, that’s why I soak it in water first…

I am looking for the price of oil today? I thought there was a chart here somewhere, but am not finding it? Last I knew Okla Sweet was 92 dollars a bbl. How long ago was it over a hundred and wasn’t it like 128 at one time?

Ok thanks Virginia for Donna and juniors names I will give them a call are they in a certain area I should ask to be directed to speak with them? Also on the occ web site what tab do I go under for all spacing, spud and drilling orders only if u have time i am still at work due to some last minute cases maybe i can sneak off and find a computer while im waiting the attorney is micheal stack called his office left three messages never received a call back called a fourth time someone answered told her what I needed to speak to mr stack about, she acted like I was asking for the moon told me I needed to call jack Rayburn, I did not know he was required to answer my questions that is good to know because I have more to ask, the more they run this game, the more determined I get.

Virginia those where the exact spacing orders I received u commented on earlier

Chad,

You are talking about red cedar, not western cedar? If it’s red cedar, do you cut it and let it cure for a few days to get rid of the sap? This sounds like something that would be good if a person was camping out along a river.
