Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

@ Robert…“Ronald,I looked up your lease. You leased at 3/16th royalty.”

Robert, I was wondering how/where you were able to look up this information, and if you might be able to share? Thanks a TON in advance!

Vern … I think you “hit the nail on the head” with saying, “The next 90 days will provide all of the answers on what, if any, production the well will achieve and whether those that sold mineral rights made a better decision”.

Don’t you wish we all had X-ray vision and could see what we had beneath that red clay? lol

Virginia … I know, location and timing is a big thing, but when there’s a lot of acre’s - that’s like icing on the cake, making things so much sweeter!!

Kaye, Virginia and others,

I have also received many offers for my mineral rights starting at $1,000 per net mineral acre to the last received in late January at $3,000. They are now drilling on property where my family has mineral interest so I guess we will know soon how it works out. Some of my cousins have sold their rights but others like me have not. The next 90 days will provide all of the answers on what, if any, production the well will achieve and whether those that sold mineral rights made a better decision.

“In short, most wells in the USA are capable of doing 50 times what the oil companies - and or government want to come out”.

That is ridiculous! Companies want to produce as much oil as possible (in an economic manner), which rules out that side of the story.

And as for Governments, it’s not just in the USA where on-shore wells are being drilled. Even If the US had some crazy secretive ‘bottleneck’ oil production scheme in place, why doesn’t Australia, Russia, Poland, China and all other oil producers let their wells flow at many multiples (50x) of what they currently are producing at?

Chad, If you buy the subscription, it allows you to view documents from your personal computer at home or anywhere else. If you don’t have a subscription, you would need to have the county clerk fax the document to you, or physically go to the court clerk’s office to obtain a copy.

Chad, if you go to www.okcountyrecords.com

There is some county info. First you must click on “Logan,” I did then a search with Ronald’s full name and it pulled up his lease. It will show you the “record details” without a subscription. It gives you the Book and Page, which you could call the county clerk’s office, tell them the Book/Page and they could fax it to you. I have a small subscription ($10/month) because I need to look up leases and certain things from time to time pertaining to my family’s mineral interest.

Thanks Robert!!

Well, George, I mean Kaye, I always thought my name was Dummy until I was 18 and had to sign my own papersl. LOL

Robert,

You forgot to tell them that they can get a printed copy for that site for a couple dollars. Save a lot of time. But, I have found that not all records are on the site.

Catherine,

You forgot the water in Oklahoma before they can drill. Everyone needs to pray for rain, then they can drill.

News coming from Osage and Stephens Production from well in 32-17N-3W.

Robert, this should be great news about the future of Logan
County, and no great surprise to myself. I believe it will double and even greater that that. We are in a new age of oil/gas exploration/production, and wanderful surprises are staring us right in the face.

It’s a beautiful morning in the Osage hills, just cool enough to fire up the pellet stove to take the chill off. 70’s today, 80’s tomorrow, perfect weather for oil patch activity… DRILL BABY DRILL1111

I been doing my best Bedonkohe Rain Dance for 6 weeks, but I don’t want Logan County flooded.

Ronald,

Dance harder. I have my boat in case of the flood. We need a flood to fill the ponds.

Robert,

Thanks for the report of Osage.

Robert, Nice report!! Thanks!

“Rain baby Rain”

“Drill Baby Drill” and, “drill some more and more and more and more” …

okie … Thanks, but I don’t know if its enthusiasm or just plain ignorance because, I don’t know any better. However, normally, if I feel somethings going to be good, it usually is, but when I feel somethings going to bad - its worse!! haha …what can you do? “Nothing sometimes …”

Ok, now I see said the blind man, a popular phrase amongst our family way back when. Ok, drilling 200 feet from the south limits of the section, they drill vertically 5300 feet, then make a radius at 360 degrees Northward using another 1000 feet to make the turn to horizontal, and then drill 4,029 feet north to complete the well, which should take them to within inches of the northernmost limits of the section. This is done 2,300 feet away from the western most limit of the Section, leaving more room for more wells if they choose to do so?

The Expiration Date on the permits is six months.
