Thank you. I did know that some counties in OK were on 1280 A spacing, but was referring to Logan Co. I didn’t realize that they had moved that many rig into those countries thought. Thanks for the information. Are these oil or gas wells?
They do need water in Logan, Payne, Noble & Garfield co before much is going to take place.
Oakie–Kaye–I got an offer also from Viking on 3-10-13 but it was only for $2750/acre. I feel hurt and slighted, I certainly won’t sell to them.
Catherine, out of curiosity, how many acres do you own? Wondering if they are giving different offers for different number of acres? Who knows how they come up with these offers?
New technology and equipment plays an important part, I read some place, this website, I think, that some of the horizontal wells do not even use a mechanical pump these days, more like what Ron here I think it was, in Saudi and Trudeau Bay? just turn on a spigot when they want it to come out. I personally thnk that pumps have been designed not to pump oil, but to control the output. If all they want is a hundred barrels a day, the pump will limit it to that. In short, most wells in the USA are capable of doing 50 times what the oil companies - and or government want to come out…One of the great political surprises of my entire lifetime is mister obama approving the Cushing extension of the Keystone Pipeline. Hopefully the “tree huggters” will keep the Canadian extension locked out by keeping them in court for 50 years. Sometimes they are a little useful. LOL

okie, the company is Viking and the off is $3250. per net acre. I’d have to go back through my files, but I believe the offers (to buy that I began receiving in August) started at $800., 1200., 1600., 1800., 2400., 2600., 2800. Some with the same company going under different co. names, but using the same address that would offer $1800. one week and a few weeks later they’re sending you another offer for $1200., so they’re just playing around to see if they can get someone to bite!!
They really need to put some serious numbers out there …

Cathy’s mineral acres only amount to 6.65 acres. She has had them for years and has had many offers to sell but has kept them mainly because they originally came from her grfather. she is certainly glad now that she did, even if it is only 6 acres.
OK … I must apoligize to Osage now, that its been disclosed that ronald von wilson lease is really 3/16ths. Sorry!!
Kaye, let me tell younow that I personally sent Sarah Palin a note that I was not too impressed with her when she ran for VP. I never received a reply. LOL However, since I found out about my Minerals and the future drilling, I changede my opinion of drilling, DRILL BABY DRILL, and I am almost finished with a white boys rap song, called DRILL BABY DRILL, and Sarah will be a significant part of the song. It is so cool. Bound to be a hit.

okie and Kaye, let me tell you now that I worked over 25 years for the old Frisco Railroad, all over Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and all of the way to Mobile, Alabama, and most of it was the Graveyard shift, which I indeed wrote a song about called, GRAVEYARD SHIFT, (on youtube as a video search for “veebdosa” and then look for GRAVEYARD SHIFT, there are 135 of my song video demos there) anyway it is a Frisco railroad song. All of which has nothing to do with oil or Logan County, YET. But I am a nite owl, here at fort Knox KY it is now 3:17 am, and I work on my poetry, short story writing, songwriting, and book writein about this oil experience all night and day. but now i think I may be giv zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I don’t think it matters how many acres a person has, but called location. You know about location. Then it’s being in the right place at the right time. They have drilled some good wells in Garfield near the Logan border, so it may become a good area.
