I received application to establish by extending order No. 601943 640-acre drilling and spacing horizontal oil units for the Misener-Hunton, Mississippian, Woodford and Sylvan common sources of supply from Section 30, T19N, R1 W to now include section 25, Township 19 North, 2 West Logan County, Ok. From Devon Energy, to whom I leased my minerals to does anyone know what this means? Is this a good thing? Thank you for any info.
Todd Yes The next step will be a pooling order then drilling. Devon has or is working on getting 19 or 20 pooling orders in 19n-2w. They have ask to drill 3 more wells in 31-19n-2w and they have ask to drill a multiunit well under under 27 & 34 . I’ll look for more info on production test for wells and bonus paid in pooling. I’ll also look at 19n-1w .
On 12-31-12 the Comm. ruled on spacing and pooling for 20-17N-3W in Logan Co. Does anyone know what their decision was
I could find no record of any filing for 20-17n-3w ,do you have a case # ?
Clint thank you . Catherine there was a protest filed 12/31/12 and a withdrawal of protest on 1/4/13. Pooling CD # 210207841.
Thank you guys for the information–As I understand it, the pooling order was protesred, and I think I know why,. and is rescheduled for 1-15-13on CD#210207843. What was their ruling on CD#210207840, the spacing unit request?

Catherine It said the matter was recommended on 1/8/13. Next will come the order . Could take several days.
I have since received an "OIL AND GAS LEASE (PAID UP) which shows Gross Acreds 160.00 Net Acres 1.645833 of Logan County OK at 20 - 17N - 03W.
Their (Sandero) cover letter that came with the lease stated stated the lease is offering a royalty for a 3 yr lease with $400.00 bonus per net mineral acre.
But no-where do I see in the letter or in the lease how much the royalty is to be??? It looks to me as if the pooling and spacing and other pre-drilling concerns have been worked out and approved? My interest in the pooling is shown in my Mother’s name, who has since died. She inherited it from my grandfather, her daddy, and then passed it on down to myself and 3 brothers when she died. But it remains in her name, though I have since provided all needed documentation of her death and will, etc. But I wonder why no royalty clause is included in the lease, showing how much royalty is to be paid?
I am wondering about this short, little 2 lines at the very bottom of the Pooling Request for 20 - 17N - 03W Logan County, I never noticed it before, and it is the last entry of the “Exceptions Requested” and reads as follows, and it it a direct quote…Is this something to be concerned with?..
e) request the Operator be given an option to request in excess of 180 days in which to commence operations for the drilling of the initial well.
Most Poolings orders are good for 180 days but they have been asking for more time( most one year ). Once they get the pooling order it ties up the minerals so if they get some good wells around you it keeps you from asking more for your interest. They say it is because rigs are hard to find to drill the wells.
They have filed for poolings in at least 17 sections in 17n-3w . If they ask for a year they have tied up a lot of leases at a good price, if they get any wells. in the pooling for section 15 they were ordered to offer $600 for 1/8th or 550 for 3/16.
Ronald It looks like a little more money for bonus. In some other ways you could be better off under the pooling then some lease agreements . I posted a pooling order if would like to read one.
Catherine,
You are lucky when it’s only a 360 spacing. Look at the spacing order and it will tell you if your have 160 a in the spacing or you may just have 40 A. Usually a 360 spacing is 2 x 160 and a 40 a, but it can be different. Whatever the spacing is they are the people who get a percentage of the gross, minus taxes and whatever you didn’t mark out.
So if you signed a 3/16 and you own 160. This is a simple way to figure it. Take the total amount the well brings in, divide by 3/16, then divide by 360 x the acres you have in the spacing. That is the amount of bb you have times the market price.
Thanks Ron McK, so what happens if I just do not sign the lease, what difference would it make for my 1.65789 acre interest, but I see no reason to concern myself for something that is as minor in size as this. I would not lose my mineral rights, but would I have any choice as to the outcome?
Received approved copy of spacing and horizontal drilling request for Logan County 20-17N-3W today. On 360 acre spacing how do they determine mineral rights? Does each 1/4 section get a forth of the oil or do the mineral owners share in the gross amount of oil? Asyou can probably tell, Iam deffinatly a novice in the oil business.
Thank you Ron. One company (Brannen) contacted me last year with an offer to lease. Another company offered more (Osage). Then both companies said they were no longer leasing in that area. I have 15 areas of mineral rights and I’d like to lease.
