concerning our exchange about MH wells, Devon has another drilling permit posted today at OCC. I’m starting to have more doubt about my understanding of this though - because this one is for 4 depths. Maybe you have a better understanding and can share? – at this point i’m thinking that’s too many to produce at once and there’s gotta be another answer to what that’s all about.
D. Pharr … take it slow, they’ll try to lead you to believe that you can’t get any better to get you to sign the lease, but I agree with Robert and Ron, so don’t jump, yet!! What I did was I got on the County Recorders Website under Logan County and pulled the alternate 1/4’s as well as the 1/4 Section I was in which, gave me an idea of how many leases had been recorded within the past 2 yrs. then, I did a little research in all the adjacent sections incircling my section! That way I was able to see that there was something more going on than they were telling me! Go to: http://okcountyrecords.com/ and put in your S/T/R with and without the 1/4’s and see what comes up, its very easy.
I’m quiet new at this too and know this may be the generic way of “fishing for information”, so maybe, somebody else can offer a better way!
D. I will get you that info. ,but take your time they are just getting started.I aiso will get you the other contact info. for the other Co.'s leasing.
D. There are several Co.'s leasing in 17n-2w . They are leasing so much that to me it means something new is going to start soon. Some of the Co.'s are Brannon Land, Osage Exploration, Todco Properties, Jackfork Land and Hal C. Smith.
That is not the way the pooling works so I wouldn’t deal with him unless it was a last resort. Also there is no hurry so do your research. I called Jackfork they offered $650 and 3/16 .They do a lot of work for Continental Resources.
Ron thank you for the information. Will you please give me the name and phone number of the person you spoke with at Jackfork? Please post if you learn anything about what is going on in that area. The person who called me works for Brannon. Likely I will be hard to reach because the title is not in my name currently. It’s in my dad’s name and he is deceased.
Larry The permit is what they can produce from, but that well may only produce from one. If they produce the deep one it will tie the others up until they are ready. It is up to the Co. how it is produced.
