Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I am wondering just where the book I am writing about drilling this well in Logan County will eventualy lead. It is so fascinating, and now the deepest subject I have come upon is the differece in Brent Crude and West Texas Intermediate with allah its ups and downs, who in their right mind could possible dream this stuff up? Itis totally mind boggleing. I Love it.

Yes, and I was at the helm of a US Navy Destroyer sailing the North Sea twice, the roughest water we ever went through. Many seasick sailors then.

Mike No completion report on 27-17n 3w.

Thank you, Mr. Mckenzie.

Ron McKenzie, thank you so much for the information. I appreciate your time. Mike

Does anyone know anything about section2 17n-02w. We have 80 acres of mineral rights in this section. We are looking for any information that you might have as far as drilling in the near future, or even if its good ground to drill on. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. We just got notified that devon is taking the lease from TS dudly and they are exercising the 3yr option “extension”. besides the amount of 150 per acre, Is it good or bad that they took over the lease?

Probably a good thing that Devon took over. They are very active in that area. Read back through the last few months on this site. Check the Devon investor presentations and the Slawson and Osage presentations. Get a feel for what is going on in the area. Check the OCC website. Go to the Garvin page and click on the Tips for Mineral Owners. It has really good links for getting free data.

Has anyone heard of anything going on in sec 26-19n-2w right off CR 64 looked Like they where making a pad to drill but then I noticed they where putting up 6 or 8 ft fence around the pad , hadn’t noticed them fence a pad off before.

Will do. Thanks for the help.

M Barnes, Perhaps I am having a Senior moment. What is the “Garvin Page”.

Garvin County page

If a well has “1WH” in its name, what is the “W”. I get the “1” and the “H”, but not the “W”.

Thanks KJ & M Barnes for the Question and answer. I had been wondering that as well. Makes sense.

KJ- Wonder if they have a “N” for “Nuttin”??!!

W is for Woodford, M is for Mississippi Lime. H is for Horizontal. It is so you can tell the target formation from the well name.

Took me a while to figure that out.

Thank You M Barnes, …I’m glad W is not for Water. haha
