EOG is selling some of our leases to Laguna Resources LLC. I can’t find much on them, and no website. Does anyone have information on this company? Thanks!
I could find very limited information on this company as well. As to EOG selling your lease, they did the same with one of our leases last year. They made a deal with Birch who eventually dealt it to PBEX-MCM. We were contacted by their Landman a couple of months ago and it sounds like something may be on the horizon for this lease. Hopefully Laguna will have something in the works for you. Seems like EOG maybe looking to divest some leases they see as lower producing prospects….

Could you please tell us where your lease is the PBEX-MCM purchased? I have land which they leased and am very interested in any potential development.

Our lease is located SW of Lamesa. MCM paid a very large leasing bonus per acre for our 1/4 section. The novices that we are, we thought that indicated a good chance of drilling. You can understand that we look for any indication of interest on MCM’s part in the area in which our interest is located.
BTW - I have been posting sporadically on this site for many years. I also have used courthouse.direct for many years. Unfortunately for me, leasing companies seem to classify everything as a memorandum lately and I am unable to open the image.

Peggy, are you in section 25 blk 36? MCM just filed a permit for a horizontal from section 37 down to section 1. On the plat detail, it looks like their next one could be from section 36 up to section 24, which would include 25.
WOW - what wonderful news! As you probably know, our interests are in the NE quarter of sec 25, 36T5N. I just saw the NY NY drilling permit, which is below us, this morning. I will look at the plat better to see what might show interest in a drilling permit for sections 36 up to 24. Do you have any idea when a drilling permit might be filed?
BTW - I’ve learned so much from your posts over the years. My nephew and I are the “negotiators” for our family’s interests. Thank you for all the information which you have shared.

I don’t have an idea on when/if the permit will be filed. Looks like if it does, it is “Caesars 36-24”. I guess they are going with the Vegas casino names.
If you look at the bottom right of the plat, you can see the surface location detail. it has the 2 NY NY permits, and then Caesars. The numbers after the names indicate the sections.
Looks like these new wells are going to be sandwiched between the MCM-PBEX Riviera wells to the east and the EOG Panther Units(A,B,C,D,E) to the west.
Thank you for this information. I am always learning! I feel knowledge is power - how my nephew and I negotiated large signing bonuses. Let’s hope this well hits and is big!

The NY NY wells are about 6 miles west of the Riviera/Panther units
I saw that Remnant Resources has purchased leases in sec 21 36T5N. They contacted the grandchildren in our family unit in sec 25 who have less than 6 A each. Increased their offer to purchase from last fall over 1/3. Now I can see why.
Yup, they typically know or have a really good idea where the wells are going to be
