How often does WVDEP update well info?

Hi

I have interests in four wells in Wetzel County, and did my division orders with Antero last month. Plus they set up the direct deposit account. Looking at the four initial well plats from 2024, I don’t see that any part of the planned horizontal lines go under my rights property. But it’s over a year old and they are allowed to modify the plan. WVDEP seems to be very slow to update well info on the maps for the specific API’s. Is this normal? Plus each well only shows a production number for March of this year, which I assume covers the years first quarter. So I think I will get 8 months of royalties for my first check, on August 30th. Is this normal?

@DCgasBaron The West Virginia DEP is the only entity that can answer that question, as the site is updated when permits are filed, active, and yearly production reports are submitted by the drilling operators. If you are questioning your royalties, please contact the drilling operator and ask them directly.

Thanks. They really don’t update it very often and I’ve caught errors on it, that I had to tell them about. The well map function used to have a link via the API that directed you to the well documents. That link is gone now. Now you have to use the data function and dive down a bunch of menus to get that information.
